[`Novacaine] Koko.Dk The rabids take thing too far I think. Especially the straight ones calling themselves "seme" and "uke" when they are not a gay boy. It doesn't refer to anything more than the prefered sexual position. Also what bugs me is the "Will Yaoi for fangirls." What the ******** is that? Since when do we force straight guys to have sex with each other in order to get fan girls. I don't understand it. But then again the Twilight fangirls are so much worse I can't even begin to explain. Omg twilight jesus, dont even start, i think the "will yaoi for fan girls", omg you dont understand till you go to an anime convention >_> its crazy Two guys dressed as anime characters RABID GIRLS EVERYWHERE im not one of them but its really quite sad, its like a train wreck you seriously cant look away. I totally agree with the stereotype ive seen those types of girls and I know for a fact they are out there giving us a bad name. I refuse to use kawaii and desu in Jap-english only in full sentences and since I dont know japanese I wont use those words anytime soon (ITS CUTE NOT FKKN KAWAII) it just makes you look stupid and i think that yelling at those fan girls is fine, but dont judge the rest of us, and stop hating on the boy-fans I have a perfectly straight friend who writes yaoi fan fictions all the time, dont be hating on his genius them stupid yaoi haters OH! and about the bisexual thing I really hate the slutty fakers, who play with my heart like they do, damn bi-faking girls >_> Rulin' ya universes...
I totally agree. Especially about the ones faking their sexuality to be more popular. It's just ridiculous >_>;;
...since 1992.

XIII falling stars I hate to break it to you girl....but that stereotype exists because it's generally the truth. Sure like most cases there are many exceptions, but in this case majority rules out.
I'm going to have to agree with this statement here. Although sometimes I wonder if it's not just because they're louder. You see, there is being a Yaoi fan, someone who happens to enjoy the genre and takes general pleasure from reading it, and the Yaoi fan girl, one who takes such enjoyment to an extreme level and proclaims her love for the genre at the top of her lungs at decible breaking sound, generally reserved for shattering glass every chance she gets.
This is where I think the problem tends to lie. Because the fan girls are generally so loud and obnoxious, the mellower fans just get lumped into the stereotype because they are rarely heard. Sure every once in a while someone will take notice to a level headed fan of Yaoi who makes an itelligent comment on something... Most of the time though, people remember the screaming thing about five posts above, lump you in with her, and don't listen.
Luckily the only "discrimination" I have faced as a fan of Yaoi (well, slash in this case) is from screaming fangirls who insist their favourite character "iS not gaye!!!!!!!11111!!11!!" I think I have gotten off easy considering very few people, if any, have called me a pervert and told me to, "get a life."

Honestly, what bugs me the most is that, apparently, if you 'ship anything m/m, you're clearly only 'shipping it because it's m/m.
Um. No. Honestly, I'm a het, yaoi, and yuri fangirl, and if I 'ship something, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the genders.
On that note, it really bugs me when people only 'ship yaoi, yuri, or het exclusively as well. Buuut, whatever. I know I'm only going to start a flame war if I get into that.
