this one is weird "theres like 2 anime cons per town yet no1 watches the crap." yes thats why theres conventions b/c no1 goes there -_-
oh and may i add "uh the costumes are so unrealistic theres no such thing as a giant robot" yet we let kids dress up as scooby doo for halloween.

I've had this sort of arguments before quite a bit of times. They always, always, always go like this:

Me: I watch anime.
Idiot: You watch cartoons? What a nerd!
Me: So what? At least I don't watch gossip or reality shows!
Idiot: I live in the real world, I like to keep it real.
Me: And what do you do when you stay in the house? (those who know me know I'm quite social, so I can't get labeled a loner)
Idiot: ...

And then... you have the people who think "anime" == "Urotsukidoji tentacle rape" scream

People always think they are just cartoons some are. But many have deep stories too and anime consist of so many genres like comedies, horror, and romance.

I hate it when I buy an anime DVD and I tell about it to my friends. My best friend would say: "is that porn?" -.- i'm sick of hearing that question!! grrrr! stressed

I've had friends say "It's boring" when in reality they haven't even tried to sit down and watch anime sad . Also I've heard other people claim that all anime is the same which is far from the truth. I guess people just don't like opening their eyes and expanding their horizon crying

heres one my friend said after watching Spirited Away - "Anime scares me...." okay you can be scared after watching something like Elfen Lied but not a kids film like that!

Here are some anime ruiners for your's truely:

1. It's boring. (which is rare, by the way)
2. I just don't like it. *cough*Noein*cough*
3. The show has way too many characters and/or subplots. ex: Naruto
4. The translation is not that good. (which is also rare, by the way [at least for mainstream, anyway])
5. The plot feels like it drags on forever.
6. The voice actors aren't that good.
7. All tentacle raep.
8. Yaoi/yuri without a plot, just for the sex scenes.

I don't like it when people automatically dub watching anime as a nerd activity. There are people who watch anime that are not nerds. >_<

I hate it when people say that they don't like anime because it's for kids or it's from Japan.

so I generally just get
