Even though I can't understand a word they're singing, it's astounding how much that doesn't even phase me. (At first, I thought it sounded like a Chinese Elton John...)

umm, some dude was attached to a string,
and then they pulled him up.
he walked on the walls of the stadium.
then there was this metal rod thingy,
he put the fire from the torch onto the rod thingy,
and then it lit the very big version of the torch. lol.
see if you can find it on youtube if you don't get what i'm tryna say. xP

Very symbolic, and a super-representation of tradition and culture. Talk about condensing history! xd

The scroll was very creative, and the performers well synchronized. The music was calming to listen to and the mood of the entire ceremony was peaceful yet burning with excitement at the same time.

For lack of an un-vulgar description, China's opening ceremony is DA s**t.
