I just watched The Phantom of the Opera and Touch on a return flight from France. Touch was a natural choice for me not just because I love manga but because I love baseball movies in general. And as much as I love musicals I still hadn't seen Phantom of the Opera and, well, it was just long overdue. sweatdrop

first 45 mins were good, but then the story gets all weird. although i didn't think it was too bad, but i now understand why so many people didn't like it.

i think the writers didn't want the movie to be too predictable, so they tried way too hard to come up with a surprise twist that just made everyone say: WTF?!

I spent the whole movie trying to figure out if the Asian guy was Rain, and since I watched it in Chinese, I have to watch it agian in English just to hear Rain speak it. whee
