I felt a couple of them had decently formed arguments (whether or not I agree with them is another matter) especially Saule at the end there. But the fact that it was only a couple, and the majority sunk to name calling (even if some did end up apologizing) was incredibly sad. Also, I'm trying to find some anthropological articles on Druids for you, as it was mentioned no one had much knowledge on that side of the argument, and it is a very important side. And one I believe would go to you, on the cultural preservation side of things (it is the whole reason I've become interested in the more traditionalist religions). Why is it so many people feel the need to label themselves with something that doesn't apply to them (their beliefs, etc)? It's like calling yourself a blonde when you're obviously a redhead, because blondes are cooler!
And yes, that challenge is many levels of win!
Also, thank you for bringing up ethnomusicology, that was totally awesome and I did a little silent cheer! Which schools in Ireland were you speaking of, anyway? I've been looking into Limerick for grad school.
