Living in servetude (sassiechicka and shuro2009)

Emily smiled, "Well we are close to the stables. I could show you the horses. Then we could just go from there. The gardens are really pretty if you'd like to walk around there first considering you were already in there. It's completely your choice."  

[Shuro2009]

"Horses then gardens sound like a plan?" He asked. "It's your...turf so to speak so I'll allow you to chose."

Emily smiled, "Well you are our guests here so the princess has taught me to give the guests what they want. So please tell me what you would like to see." Emily started walking towards the stables.  

[Shuro2009]

He followed.
"I don't know what is here, so I tend to let the hostess or host show me what they wish. How long have you been with your princess?"

Emily smiled, " I've been here since I was born. It was until a couple of years ago that I became her attendant."  

[Shuro2009]

He nodded, continuing to follow.

Emily approached the stables, " Do you want to meet my favorite horse? The one I'm not supposed to ride."  

[Shuro2009]

He raised an eyebrow.
"A slave breaking rules? How original!" He joked with a touch of sarcasm. "I would love to meet your favorite horse." He replied in all seriousness with a slight smile.

Emily leads him to the back of the stable. The horse approached Emily. He softly nuzzled her shoulder. " This is my horse. His name is Quincy. My princess let's me have some freedoms. I'm not quite as bad off as other slaves. For one I'm not a slave, I can leave the princess at time I choose. I am her attendant. There's a difference."

"Then i beg your pardon. I tend to forget not everyone is bought or sold like mere objects."

Emily looks at him, " Can you leave the prince at time that you choose?"  

[Shuro2009]

He avoided her gaze.
"i was sold to him. My fate is in his hands. He, unlike others, has been most kind." He whispered.  

[sassiechicka]

Emily touched his face and made him look at her, "Why would your parents sell you to him?"  

[Shuro2009]

He pulled back slightly from her touch.
"They.....I don't see them anymore and I haven't for...a while."  

[sassiechicka]

Emil looked a bit hurt that he would pull away from her. She only wanted to touch his face. To see if he had feelings. She found him a bit cold, " Why did you pull away? I'm not going to hurt you."
