Hmm, haven't read the books yet... though I've watched the Eragon movie and, to be honest, it seemed kind of... not my cup of tea ^_^ But a friend has been telling me the books are really good, and I'm a voracious reader so I might be giving it a chance...

Maybe I'll like the book more. Do you know if they're making the sequels into movies?

What I didn't like bout it though is how (just like in Harry Potter but worse there) the reader is babyed. Like Saphira happens to be blue. And "Eragon" is "dragon" with the first letter moved one along in the alphabet. It's too convinient. It detracts from the story. And in Harry Potter the names are always alliterated or too fitting for the character. Luna Lovegood is dreamy acting for example. Jeez, life isn't like that and I'm not 4 years old reading about Andy Pandy and Chicken Licken.

uh-huh..well grae and i dont like the movie bcuse it barely follows the book, i think its a good movie by itself, but since its based on a book and doesnt follow the book its not good..

I really liked the first two books (haven't gotten around to reading the third yet, though my mom bought right when it came out so she could read it). I also managed to enjoy the movie. If you consider it completely seperately and ignore how much they butchered the book.... which I probably only managed 'cause I saw it with friends who were tweaking out and help me keep perspective. However, I must state that there is something wrong when BOTH times I saw it in theatres, I laughed through Brom's death. Partially because I'm disrespectful to poorly done death scenes, and partly because of my friends....
