Asians make the best horror movies??? (Really??)

Well, Asian horror films tend to play with the psychological aspects of the human mind and just go straight to the things that scare the ******** out of people. They take little aspects of daily life and twist them into believable horror situations.

American horror films are more like "Okay, here's some creepy monster/ serial killer guy that just keeps going and going." We focus more on monsters and boogeymen I guess.

What might possibly happen scare people more (in my opinion) than some invincible giant wielding a chainsaw.

That's probably why the re-makes aren't that scary because we turn the focus onto the monster instead of a story or anything to make you think "I never want to pick a phone up ever again."

i said yes in the voting poll, but honestly, its only like japanese and korean movies which are scary to me. chinese movies.. ehh.. they seem more funny to me. it is true that when america makes over a movie, it is so much worse! well, add me as a friend if u wanna since i wanna make more friends on gaia =]

Uh, r u saying 'The Eye' and 'The Eye 2' is funny?

Also 'Dumpling' is one of the sickiest but realistic stoy by Hong Kong that gave me the shiver. Some Hong Kong movies are good, but now-a-days they don't have the budget to make good horror movie.

Thai and Japanese are mostly my favorite Asian horror movie. Sometimes Korean.

During Halloween, I watched a couple of Asian horror flicks, and one of them was The Maid, it's not the greatest, but it's decent.
