The Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton... or.... Poison by Chris Wooding.
Both Fantasy books(Brilliant by the way) but Poison is for young teens and Anita Blake is deffinately for adults, too much gore etc to be for kids.
Oooo and maybe the Nightworld series by L.J Smith... also fantasy with lots of people's stories mixing up into one big event. biggrin

Two of my favorite books are Island of the Blue Dolphins and The Witch of Blackbird Pond, I would love to see either one of them in movie form.
So I just did some searching and it looks like Island was already made into a movie in 1964, I suppose I will have to track it down.

I would like I Was A Teenage Fairy to become an adult fantasy film. Filled with psychedelic colors and all.

trytocallithome Go Ask Alice would be effing amazing. Or Crank, Glass... etc. series. There really hasn't been a movie like that before other than Thirteen. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac would be kinda neat, even though it's a comic book... and usually movie adaptations of comic books or graphic novels FAIL horribly (ex: 30 Days of Night. bad, just... bad. Amazing graphic novel; and the movie killed it.) Ahh Crank and Glass. Yes those would be good books. Crank more so then glass I think. Or Neverwhere. They made it into a BBC serious but it sucked major. I think if they got some good actors, a WAY better set and more imagination then it would be a killer film.

the series of ufortunate events MOVIE sucked, ive read all the books in the series, and think they should make good movies with three or for books in one pop, then make sequals, thats my opinion, but movies by books and books by movies suck most of the time, except the green mile

You know what would be interesting as well? The original War of the Worlds. If they did that into a movie. That would be fantastic with modern filming techniques and technology. Each War of the World movie has been an updated version, and sure, it's a bit scary to think that they might come now. But it'd be entertaining to watch it as though it were an 19th century thing. Quote: but movies by books and books by movies suck most of the time I have to point out there, that most movies were books originally, so most of your favourite movies were probably adapted from some book or other. : D
