ANother Good one would be THE RED SHOES.
It should be on Comcast somewhere...(Or it was)
Pretty good actually. Not insanely confusing either (Some asian movies are confusing)
It's about a dancer who eventually dies(She's dances in red shoes of course) Her shoes are possesed.
If you watch it remember what I say: Omononom! Feet are tasty!
I forget what other movie I saw...It was about a hospital and people started bleeding green blood....The ending was very odd. Can't say it was much of a horror movie though. Never scared me.
Hell the black and white version of House On Haunted Hill was scarier.

If it were for his evil, Yami Marik's younger self (a.k.a. Deathberry) would be perfect for The Ring.

Laili Moon Child. It's a Japanese vampire/somewhat gang movie. It features Pop Artists HYDE and Gackt (Gackt <3). It's based in the future and it is quite good, has a tad bit of moment where you'd wanna cry and some going "Holy crap!". Some humor in it as well. The gun fights are stunning as well. John Woo style. ^^ This wasn't a horror film, it was more of an action film that is like you said set in the future and one of the characters is a vampire, not terrorizing people or anything, he was just Sho's mentor and friend. That's about as far as it goes. It was still a good movie and can be quite confusing if you don't pay attention. Gackt and Hyde were awesome. I own the movie and seen it multiple times...love Gackt X3
