My first pet was a goldfish called Angel . . . who lasted about six hours or something. Not the best name in the world, ever.
Then there was the colony of gerbils; we started off with two (Jerry and Julie) then there were many babies (J&J seemed to like each other) two of which we kept (Tanya and Tom) and then they (T&T) started dying. Julie died of natural causes (meaning no one had a clue what had happened) Jerry died of old age (Jery was five!! I kid you not!) Tom, I can't remember how he died, and Tanya . . . somehow she broke her back. It was either her wooden toy falling into a tunnel she was digging, or a motorcycle accident.
We also fostered three kittens for a time. They were cute little horrors.
Presently I have my cats Sparky, who looks like Felix, and Pattie who's a stray who adopted us by coming into our house one day and deciding not to leave. She's mostly black with a white mouth and 'bib'.
There are also my sister's new gerbils, who are evil greedy little things, but sweet in that you can watch them squirrel about for ages and not get too mind-numbingly bored.
And that's it. Bet you're relieved.

I'm bringing this thread back... because I can. And I'm bored...
Anyways... At the moment I have 4 cats. Their names are Aimee, Alex (short for Alexander the Great), Sherri (short for Sherwood), and Frisky(I didn't name him...). I have 1 dog, named Lucky (She's been hit by a dump truck and a tractor and was about to get killed when we got her, which explains her name). I also have 6 goldfish named Angel, Gus, Goldy, Erin, Humphery, and Bob. I have tons of dead animals... 10 dead cats, a dead dog, 6 dead sheep, 2 dead birds, countless dead chickens...
I love animals. xd

A dog, a border collie named Harry. Almost worryingly obedient. I've not had a dog before you could walk along a main road without pavements without a lead, without having to worry about him. He sticks to the verges, and sits when cars pass. Also, he can close doors on command. I'm sure he thinks he's a cat though. He's succesfully pounced on a bird before now.
He's not the smartest dog we've had though, when I was small we had a border collie/labrador who could take himself for a walk.

Theres currently 2 cats and a dog in my house. And about 40 ducks outside, 20 hens which are horrible evil creatures. Also sheep, lambs, pet lambs and cows. The dog thinks it a cat, she climbs trees. Shes a Spollie (cross between spaniel and collie) One of the cats has 3 legs due to a dog we once owned. That same dog got one of my 3 ginea pigs (but that was my brothers fault). Theres been 6 mice (one of which lived more than 3 years) and 4 rats. I agree that rats are very cute. I miss them. Even if they did insist on getting horrible illness when they died (Strokes or absseses). And there used to be 3 cats but they stayed when we moved house. And I used to keep ants. And tons of snails. They were funny, one of them I rescued with a broken shell, made a cardboard shell and in a few months the shell grow back and I released it.

I have two cats back at home. I've always had at least one cat in the household, and at one point there was a bunny. Countless frogs have been found and attempted to be kept as pets, but every single one of them has been turned outside by my mom. xd

Here's my dog(sorry it is a bit blurry). My parents had a dog and then when my grandmother died we had her dog for a couple of years. They both lived to be around 15. Then we got our current dog. Now I kind of consider my boyfriend's family's animals as mine too since I am attached to them all(although the numbers are dwindling in recent years). His sister had three cats(one died fairly soon after I met her, but the other two were great lap cats until they each died of very old age). She had a white boxer who lived to be about 12. She still has an awesome Mastiff who is sadly having quite a bit of trouble getting around these days due to arthritis. Then she used to have three full sized horses, but she gave two of them away to people that could give them bigger pastures. She had two mini stallions to keep the big one company though. Then my boyfriend's parents have six domestic geese and have had four dogs. One was a great Springer Spaniel and he died a number of years ago from old age. They rescused a golden retriever/hound mix just before the Springer Spaniel died. The poor thing had been badly abused and still doesn't trust anyone but my boyfriend's mother very much many years later. Then within the last year their bBeagle/Jack Russell Terrier died at 18 years old. They still have a beautiful Collie/bBorzoi mix that is an amazing hunter even now at 12 with arthritis. That dog has human like eyes and is extremely intelligent. Also my boyfriend's boss has two sweet dogs. One is a Shepard/Retriver kind of mix that is also extremely bright. You tell him to do something once and he'll generally do it. The other is still a puppy and is a Shepard/Retriever/Pit Bull mix. They almost look like brothers except for the differences in the muzzle and ears, but the puppy has much more energy. It's interesting that the pit bull mixed one never barks at anyone though. He just wants to play and chew 24/7. Okay, that was much more than you wanted to know, but I needed to ramble.

We had goldfish once, but the noise kept my mother awake at night.
Despite their being downstairs and she being upstairs.
No, I don't understand either.

No, I don't understand either. Perhaps it would sneak out and play drums?
