Well I personally cannot choose one over the other. They both have some good and bad stuff in them.

Anime
Good:
1. you got to hear what the characters would actually sound like
2. New and interesting storyline
3. good enough to make a movie for it
4. got products made for it (like posters, bags, etc.)
5. has color (especially good for cosplayers)

Bad:
1. did not go with manga storyline
2. wasn't into the characters as the manga
3. killed Ed (dont know if thats going to happen in the manga though xp )

Manga
Good:
1. got into the characters more
2. another good storyline
3. more blood (good for some of us anyways razz )
4. new and interesting characters

Bad:
1. No color
2. No sound
3. need to know how to read rofl
