what does Toadc in a hole mean?


It's a meal. Sausages in Yorkshire pudding batter...although you probably don't know what Yorkshire pudding is...it's just very fluffy, crispy pastry.

A lot of traditional english meals have some rather unique names sweatdrop

why is it called pudding if its a pastry?

pudding is a creamy, goodness from heaven (only if its chocolate>w<)

Yorkshire puddings come into that odd food group where they can be had with sweet or savoury foods; although as they are usually eaten wth roast dinners they're usually seen as a savoury thing xp On a side note it's actually made with (what is essentially) pancake batter. Although I think our pancakes are a little different from yours sweatdrop

I have had Yorkshire pudding. I don't want to be mean but allot of English food tastes like crap. Like eel pie ot blood sasauge. Now I have tried food from all around the world. AND I LOVE SUSHI!

It's amusing how Americans thinks English food is crap, and the English think American food is crap xp
I think you guys are used to alot of sugar and high-energy food...I mean..America doesn't really have any type of food of it's own apart from Fast Food..whereas England has menus that are specific to England, the kind that have been made throughout history.
