My asian friend told me about it afew years ago.
I got home, looking for Gaia, and I didn't know how to spell it. -_-
I was set back for 24 hours. D:
Until I could reach her at school again, then she wrote it down on paper for me. :3

my friend told me about it during an after skool program. i thought it waz a MMO. it waz so hard gettin gold, i waz so happy wen i got were claws fo my avi after 2 weeks. i waz always in gaia towns, knockin down trees and pickin up trash

I found out about gaia from a online friend from Quizilla. She told me during 2007 Halloween event. She asked me if I'd be a vampire or a human and when I told her I didn't have a gaia account let alone not knowing the site she gave me a link and now I'm a member 3nodding

Also in some of my manga magazines have ads for Gaia. Though online when I read manga there are ads too 3nodding

During technology class, saw some girl dressing an avatar up and i was like ooOOOoohh ppfftt lol i liked those kind of dress up games that time. so i went on, created an account she saw me, helped me a bit and BAM i joined gaia. mmaaann i was such a noob that time xP

It came up as a topic in my little group of friends, and a few of my friends said they had an account. I asked them about it, and it sounded pretty cool, so I checked it out and started playing. (:
