Skizzors MooMooJuice Can anyone tell me WHY the AxelxRoxas pairing is called AkuRoku? Because I don't understand why 'ku' is used..? Their names in romanji (Roman alphabet-based phonetic system of writing Japanese words) are "Akuseru" and "Rokusasu" The weird part, really, is that by cutting off where they did, English-speaking fans actually split the names off halfway through the X's.. >>; Ah~ thanks! O: Everyone else I asked said they didn't know. X__x;

retice Ah, well, I'm pretty sure the dictionary-thread used to be here too, but I can't find it either, so here are the terms I can think of off the top of my head that you'll see used a lot in fanfiction or just in posts in general: Yaoi: Sexual relations between two male characters. Yuri: Sexual relations between two female characters. BL: Boy-love. Shounen-ai: Boy-love again in Japanese. You'll usually see this label for stuff that does not contain sex. Shouta: Yaoi in which very very young boys are involved. Slash: Romantic relations between two characters who were not originally meant to be this way in canon. Canon: Everything the original creater intended. Fanon: Fan-created ships, etc. Lemon: Graphic sex in the fanfic. Lime: Sex implied in the fanfic. FTW: For the win. Usually used to express enthusiasm over something. OTP: One True Pairing. Your favorite pairing that you feel will never change. Anything in particular you're confused about that I haven't mentioned? wow u listed everything important. i could probably only list 6

Iori_Yagami1990 WTF is what the (Swear word here) WTH is what the hell BRB can mean one of two things. Be right back or Bath room break. Lol is laughing out loud (which is what I am doing while I typed out the true definition of BRB) rofl is rolling on the floor laughing I never got what stfu meant. I know that its bad though. But some of these terms are now clarified for me, thank you for that. mrgreen These aren't fanfic terms...what you gave is evil net speak...completely different than what she's asking for here.

Iori_Yagami1990 Oh, well people should be reported when they say that then. Its flaming, right? I mean when they say STFU. It is a reportable offense. Extreme swearing. Not really. You can swear all you want, but when it gets to the point where you use every word in the book to say something malicious to someone else it becomes flaming.
Example: User 1: I really dislike this movie, the dialog was really awkward and full of unnecessary words... User 2: Shut the ******** up, I thought it was really good. In that one scene, the flow of the dialog was great!
^this, however crude it may seem, is acceptable.
Example 2: User 1: I really dislike this celebrity, I don't approve of her lifestyle choices. User 2: Yeah, well your life ain't so great either is it you ********! You're just a f*****t pile of s**t, why don't you go to hell with all the rest of the bitching filth!
^this wouldn't be accepted.
If swearing at all bothers you, there is an optional language filter.
