Painting Advice/Show-off thread.

How do they not seem fully painted? I know there crap but i did it all with acrylics and a fairly large paintbrush. Each marine took me about 30 minutes. And i like the grey rather then silver. Silver is to shiny.

PS: That was like there 4th coat. That's why you can't see details. And i know i need to fix brother octavians head. I can't get his eyes with the brush i have. It's to fat.

Large parts of you just left unpainted. BoltGun Metal, a GW paint, isnt terribly shiny.

go to meijer, og into the art and crafts area and you can cant really tiny brushes dont got to models testor will rip you off as bad as GW

I'll go to wal-mart and get some good brushes. But i am totally broke until Sunday.

they are about $1.50 a peice at meijer i dont know about walmart

1. get a smaller brush
2. water down your paint
3. take your time, I spent almost two day's painting one guy on and off.
4. if it look's to shiny buy some black ink, you can dip the brush int he ink and then into water lightly and fast. then put it on the mini.
5. if you need to use small thing's (like toothpick's) to do smaller detail's.

that's all I have to offer.

warning to not put regualr paint on models then use airbrush paint the regualr eat well come off like skin from a nurgling

Ok I need help painting a Tau Ethral.His staff/sword is dry brushed gold and the handel silver. And his cape is dry brushed an ocean blue type color.What do you think I should color his skin and clothes?

Tau are blue

I would say maybe a cream color with a blue band
