Powerful, but not a Godlike, unreasonably expensive and unstoppable weapon? Take teh Defiant to a size and Armament around a Galaxy class Starship. You now have teh Sovereign class. Ablative Hull Armor and Quantum Torpedo Armament with Pulse Phaser Cannons. Want teh Next Step? Apply teh Shielding and Weaponry that were on teh Voyager at teh end of season 7.

Apply Slip-Stream Technology, and you've got one hell of a Warship.

I agree with all of you but if you add the weapon the Bream used against the U.S.S Defiant that well basically made the Defiant powerless and defenseless to any ship that can handle more than a few phaser hits and torpedoes then you would have a formatable foe and don't forget the cloaking device that was developed by Riker and his old Captain that was the Phasic Cloak that made the ship capable of moving through solid objects, or just use a cloak then get near a enemy ship targeting a key system with torpedoes and decloak at the last second while right on top of your enemy fire a volley of torpedoes then recloak and head out or come about for another strike if your enemy survied the first strike, they would never know what really hit them

new Prometheus-class starship in the 2370s. By using advanced compartmentalization and automation systems, a ship capable of multi-vector assault mode could split itself into three separate warp-capable crafts, becoming an entire squadron operating semi-independently and in concert, effectively tripling the amount of firepower that could be applied against a target.

Upon ordering multi-vector assault mode, the ship's computer would begin a ten-second countdown, going to blue alert in preparation for the ship to separate. Separation was generally performed at sublight speeds, although it could be accomplished at warp as well. On the USS Prometheus, the saucer section detached, deploying a small warp nacelle from behind the bridge, and the secondary hull split on the X-axis into two parts, each with two nacelles. Following the separation, the three separate sections could be piloted manually, or could be controlled by the ship's computer to perform pre-programmed attack patterns. After attack operations, the ship was capable of re-connecting itself automatically.

As of 2374, the multi-vector assault mode was still an untested, top-secret technology. The only starship known to be equipped with the system was the USS Prometheus itself.
