Grounding and it's varients

I'm in the same boat as TatteredAngel. I just have no concentration when it comes to this, and the more I try and fail at it, the more frustrated I become with myself. So, I've been trying to get myself to meditate, hoping that if I can learn to focus through that process, I can control my energy and clear my mind long enough to focus them on grounding.

It's probably my lack of research into these matters, but I've honestly never heard of airing/watering. Are there any good sites or books I can check out on these matters? It seems as though every pagan I've spoken to says that these are handy things to learn, and I guess now's as good a time as any to get off my a** and understand.

Centering is mentioned briefly in the OP, but I still don't have an entirely firm grasp as to what it is. So I'm guessing I haven't, unless that's what I've inadvertently been doing during my shoddy attempts to ground?

(It is now blatantly obvious that I have studied next to nothing outside of the Norse Cosmos! xp )

"Centering" when I use the term reflects a practice of drawing one's awareness into the "center" of one's head.

Lots of people extend and at times overextend themselves- both in awareness and energy. Drawing that in can be very helpful.

Heh. I actually find meditation easier once I have Centered. But that might just be me.
