Err.. I guess the best way to describe it would be like DnD? Perception allows you to see things better, notice harder things easier, pick up on the finer details like different speech, subtle hints, misplaced objects, weird shadows. Thins of that nature.
Also.. what is this? I never got a choice from this list D:

The story of Eyan starts out in the misty village of Kirigakure. Born from two parents he still doesn't know the names of, Eyan was always a weird child. Though he had blue hair, he seemed more of a blonde to everyone else. And yet he somehow got past the academy. The truth is, they didn't even plan on him becoming a shinobi. They both owned a restaurant and thought he'd join in the family business, but he instead joined the academy after he saw the flashy techniques the kids were learning.
Unfortunately, after enrollment, Eyan found that being a shinobi wasn't all about flashy moves and explosive techniques. There were tests. And lectures. And long hours of studying. And reading! Half the time Eyan was either asleep or zoned out. Still, after numerous punishments and wake up smacks, he gained some basic knowledge of the shinobi world. Knowledge that he'd never use in the future- or at least not purposely.
But there was one thing Eyan payed attention to and excelled at. It was field testing. Since Eyan liked to learn by doing, he found excitement with the flashy ninjutsu and especially the combat assessments. Unfortunately, Eyan was only good with his hands. When he was given a weapon, it was like his body told him to fail. That's why he hated every time he was given a kunai or a shuriken and told to throw. It's thanks to this hatred that he came to hate weapons altogether, only carrying one for emergencies.
Now as you can imagine, it took more than flashy techniques and taijutsu to become a ninja. Things like stealth and deception weren't completely foreign to Eyan, but when it came to planning and anything involving literacy, his brain just shut off. Yet somehow, Eyan managed to graduate with his limited skills. |

x x xMagatsuhi and his sister Kaguya were very well off. They were the children (twins) of a wealthy and powerful shogun who owned a castle and controlled a vast army of men. They were brought up in the best schools, ate the finest of foods, were draped in the most lavish of clothing, and were basically catered to their entire lives. Their mother had passed away due to illness during one of their father's campaigns, thus he was not there to be with her when she died. Even though they knew the importance of his work, they still resented him for this somewhat. It wasn't until their later years that they realized that the feudal way of life was being intruded upon by the shinobi way of life. The twins, like their father, loathed the shinobi. Though the shinobi had adopted the one-village-one-country system by this point, they were swallowing up the shogunate at an alarming rate. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the land of the samurai, the shongunate's last ally, became neutral. They would not aid the shinobi, but they would not aid the shogun either. This was not tolerable in the least.
Against his children's wishes, the shogun assaulted the shinobi world. Due to most of the world now being fully shinobi-fied, the shogun did not have forces enough to make any decisive victory. While the battle was bloody for both sides, the shogun ultimately failed. And for his transgressions, he was summarily executed. It was at this time that, in the face of losing everything, the twins left their old life behind them. They still resented the shinobi and their way of life, but they saw no other alternative: they had to adopt the same way of life in order to survive. Thus, they became shinobi. However, they secretly vowed one day that they would find their revenge and stab the shinobi world through its heart.
