"Mi amor" literally translated as "My love" is not always used in that meaning. In Puerto Rico it is simply a term of endearment when used amongst friends.

My scope of spanish only goes to general literal uses, I don't know all the hip slang words. razz

Well that's the thing about spanish. You can never take anything literally. There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many idiomatic expressions. Not even I know them all.
