Steel Sterling Neko-chan32981 Steel Sterling NEW question! This is for ST:TNG. Riker hated playing the song "Nightbird." Why? smile Oh, and name the musical instrument he plays. He plays the trombone and it's because he could never get the solo right. Correct! He's been trying for TEN YEARS. Apparently, the guy who played Rom was stumped on a panel when Phil Farrand (the Nitpicker) fired a trivia question asking him to name the song. I wanted to ask it here, but I thought it was just a little much. (However, when I heard the question, I heard Deanna shouting the request in my head.) Riker's flat look at Deanna when he starts the song speaks volumes. I LOVE how Frakes conveyed so much without saying a word, so often. I'm a TNG junkie.. kind of.

Correct!
He'd always wanted to "beat the tar" out of Finnegan. And he finally got his chance with the imaginary Finnegan on the Shore Leave planet.

No. It was in the Omicron Delta system, and was only called nicknames like "Shore Leave planet" and "amusement planet."
Risa's in a binary system.
Supposedly, Risa's appeared in "Enterprise" even. So about a dozen viewers know all about it...
Risa is more of a tropical paradise planet.
Shore Leave planet uses amazing high-tech to instantly manufacture whatever someone wants.

And yet, he has better telepathy than Troi, which led to my speculation that the telepathy weakens the closer you get to 50/50 in genes....

^ Bingo. But, he may simply have better mental discipline.

Or it could be that their jobs have just brought out different parts of their telepathy. not necessairly better mental discipline but just different disciplines.
