Michio jumped backwards from the electric palm attack the clone threw his way [ unranked dodge | d-rank ]. "Lightning," Michio commented aloud as he made some distance between himself and the clone. He still felt much stronger in his strikes and movements because of Yui's bond. He didn't know a lot of techniques, but he understood how many of them were supposed to work in theory. He had no issue learning on the fly, especially with his imaginary friends egging him on. He pulled a kunai from his pocket and thought about his bunny friend who liked to fight with sharp weapons. Michio tried to mimic him as he charged at the clone, channeling chakra through his kunai to lengthen its blade, swiping at the clone and hoping the clone wouldn't dodge far away enough that the nearly-invisible extension of the blade would miss as well [ Flying Swallow [ Hien ] | Rank E (overwhelming) ].
Michio would jump backwards immediately after the technique and turn his head briefly to look at the newcomer who asked to watch. "You should join us," Michio stated after a moment's consideration. Himitsu's clone seemed plenty strong enough to handle three opponents, so he didn't feel guilty about extended the invitation without asking. Especially as the audience of their fight, in Michio's mind, was filled with dozens of his allies.
There was about five feet of distance between Michio and the clone unless the clone moved farther back after the first strike. Michio channeled more chakra to his kunai, this time much more obvious and not quite as thin in girth. He swung the kunai outwards with no intention of the blade itself, as a chakra swipe would extend from the blade to hit the opponent [ Samurai Saber Technique [ Bushi Ken no Jutsu ] | Rank E (overwhelming) ].

Michio's attack found its mark, bolstered by her bond as the shadow clone would let out a burst of raiton chakra to hound off the attack in full. Yui frowned, not knowing what could help rid him of the lingering effects of said technique. But there had to be something, right? Maybe a lesson for the future? Himitsu would continue with an old palm strike towards Michio while he would have enough agility to dodge out of the way of the blast. Yui applauded his attempt with a kind smile, while she'd continue the technique that would strengthen his techniques. [ Soul Release: Brute Strength | Rank C ] It worked out perfectly being that he seemed to focus mainly on taijutsu than anything else. To help reinvigorate him, she'd also bring both hands together, channeling a bit of chakra towards his system while assisting his body in standing up to the attacks he was currently undergoing. The appearance of a newcomer would be known to Yui, who offered a quiet wave to the boy while the three of them would fight. She couldn't really focus on communication at the moment, being in a fight and all. So for now, she'd allow her partner some amount of freedom by willing expelling some of her effort into the bond, allowing Michio to feel a bit more energetic, as if he could do a little bit more than usual. As the older genin watched the younger shinobi, he barely noticed the newcomer until he spoke. "Oh, hey! Sorry, I was a bit wrapped up in this. Not wanting to miss anything, he only pulled his eyes away from the fight for a second to flash a smile at the boy when he asked to watch. "Yeah, that's fine! I'm guessing if you're here, you've probably got a few moves of your own, right? Feel free to hop in if you'd like. We're just having a little fun with our training time, nothing too serious." He wasn't sure how much abuse the clone could take, fighting three people at once, but Yui seemed to be filling a support role for now, so at least for now there wasn't a constant barrage of attacks. Either way, it was certainly an interesting fight to watch.
Michio's quick reactions narrowly kept him from getting a decent jolt, and didn't seem to slow him down much at all as he came back with his own attack. The real Himitsu was able to spot the chakra that had formed around the blade, but the clone hadn't activated his sharingan, choosing to keep that chakra available instead. Unfortunately for the clone, that was the wrong choice in the instance. "Gotta be faster than that!" Shadow Clone Himi playfully taunted his new friend as he side stepped the kunai [Unranked Dodge | E-Rank ]. His face dropped a bit as his jacket sleeve ripped open and blood began to flow slowly from the wound. Confusion filled his face for a moment before he'd come around to a few guesses as to what had just happened. "Wow, I didn't expect that. Solid work! But you know that means I've gotta try harder now, right?" The idea of getting hit with another invisible attack didn't agree with him, so the clone finally decided to activate its own sharingan. Now able to see chakra much easier, the clone watched as Michio prepared his next attack. Not wanting to waste time, the clone began focusing his chakra as Michio prepared, unleashing his attack just after Michio's move. The younger boy's chakra blade leapt from his kunai as Himitsu thrust his palm forward letting loose his [Forceful Wave | Rank D] with a gust of wind launching it forward, imbued with wind chakra.

The chakra released from the palm thrust creates a wave of chakra that expands five feet per rank of the technique and travels twenty-five feet total. The clone of the boy who stood next to Hitoshi seemed to have everything well under control, considering it was just a clone. Maybe... maybe he should join in? Both boys had extended the invitation after all. The girl was more on the quiet side, but he supposed she would be when she was busy doing... whatever she was doing. Hitoshi actually wasn't sure what she was doing over there. She seemed to him to be pretty far away from the action, but maybe there was some weird ninja mumbo jumbo there he wasn't understanding. Despite spending the last few years in this village, it was still so strange seeing all these children fight in the strange ways that they did. Seriously, I'm eighteen. Just how young are that boy and girl? Even this one next to me looks only a few years younger. This culture where children as young as these were expected to fight and die for their village just made no sense to him, but he supposed that strangeness was the reason why Konoha still stood, while his was just a pile of bodies and ash. Either way, seeing these kids fight made him realize something as he went to pace the boundaries of their little arena, a hand diving into the pack strapped to his thigh where he held his ninja tools.
What he realized, was that there was no way he was going to accept remaining weaker or more cowardly than a boy who looked no older than ten. No way. It was not going to happen. Yukiko would do more than just laugh at him. She'd drag him by the ear back here and force him to fight the boy one-on-one. That woman was crazy and would totally do something embarrassing like that. More importantly, it would sting right in the pride he was just learning he still had in himself. Damn, where did that come from?
It didn't take long to find his opening. Just as the two fighters launched their two projectile moves at each other, he shot off with all the limited speed he had, a kunai in hand and his cheeks bulging from the ink he held in his mouth. Hitoshi hoped the younger boy would be alright as the other's projectile overcame his in the collision, but there really wasn't much time for him to be worrying about it. He doubted that jumping in without a word would give him much of an element of surprise, but even if that advantage was minuscule he would take it. Someone weak like him couldn't afford to be fair.
The distance to traverse wasn't too great, so it wasn't long before Hitoshi was right before the genin, his fist flying down with a kunai gripped tight in it in an attempted stab towards his shoulder. Really, he was no good with melee weapons, but that was fine. It was only a distraction, one that he would be forced to either block or dodge. Whichever he chose, Hitoshi would then spit a glob of black ink the size of his head right in the clone's eyes in an attempt to blind or at the very least inconvenience him.

Michio felt better as the squid-y newcomer helped his technique overpower Himitsu's stronger technique. It was going to be difficult to generate something strong enough to really destroy the clone. He made the requisite hand seals and channeled his chakra internally. He divided the chakra that sat low in his throat. Then, he tried to imagine it forming into a series of sharp slivers. Then, he opened his mouth, launching chakra needles out towards the Himitsu clone [ Hidden Needles [ Fukumi Hari ] | Rank E overwhelming ]. Given his close proximity to Himitsu, he didn't want to fumble making a stronger move, too. He took the opportunity to continue closing the distance. He was still channeling chakra to his hands as he moved. It took a lot of concentration, but he imagined his chakra having a magnetic force that could attract the clone's chakra. He surged forward, slapping an open palm on the clone to try and absorb some chakra from it [ Chakra Absorption Technique [ Chakra Kyuuin Jutsu ] | Rank E ]. "We got this!" He exclaimed. His heart was pumping from Yui's support and his own adrenaline response. He was getting sucked into the moment of combat, developing tunnel vision and forgetting that this was a spar against a much stronger shinobi.

The new boy had entered and made his mark blowing Himitsu's jutsu out of the water with his own. Yui hurried over towards the newcomer and would motion for him to kneel down towards her level. Regardless of whether or not that this actually happen, or if she needed to climb her way up towards the boy, she'd poke his forehead and slowly trace a line over towards her own, adding him to the link that she shared with Michio [ Spiritual Connection | Rank E ]. She watched as Michio would get a bit more confident about his abilities. The quiet Genin was a bit more pleased with the results but would race off towards Himitsu as the girl could only worry. She'd continue to maintain the buffering link between her companions but also try out a new jutsu to soft the eventual blow for Michio. The boy would experience a faint prickling sensation along his body.

This can break genjutsu the linked people are under if the genjutsu can be broke through pain. This can also be used on enemies to discourage them from attacking directly. Any status effects or poisons are only brought on the Miyamoto, though due to the nature of this technique, it functions at one tier lesser at a minimum of one.

The Himitsu clone spotted the newcomer's attack easily, and stepped around it without issue. What he didn't see was the ink blob that smacked him directly in the eyes immediately after. "Oh! s**t! What the-" His complaints were cut short by Michio's chakra needles peppering his body. The sharp pain dragged his mind back to a recent experience being blinded in combat, surrounded by enemies. Panic from that moment began flooding forward into him now, flooding him as Michio's second attack knocked him back and ripped chakra from his body. Blinded, unsteady on his feet, and emotionally stuck in that moment in the cave, the clone launched an [Assassinโs Rush [ Kyoushu no Tokkan ] | Rank B] at the chakra signatures he could just barely make out ahead of him through his inked up sharingan. The original Himitsu quickly dismissed the clone as it launched itself backwards, noticing its panic and reckless movement. "s**t, sorry!

Hitoshi did not linger to see the outcome of his attack. To stand still was to invite death, so he clumsily jumped back away from the clone he'd shot his ink at to allow the small boy he fought with to continue the offensive. There was no point in trying to coordinate with the kid more than this. He'd never fought with him before so if he tried he was certain that they would only get in each other's way. Perhaps if he ended up on a squad with him once they became genin they could work well together, but for now Hitoshi would have to be okay with the small opening he was able to provide, as it appeared that his gamble had paid off and he'd succeeded in blinding the clone.
Someone was tugging on his jacket sleeve, so he looked down, feeling safe for the time being. It was the other kid, the young girl. Hitoshi's eyebrow quirked up in confusion and just as his lips were parting to ask if right now was a good time to talk when they should be pressing the advantage she was already climbing up his body impatiently. Ah, right. He was over six feet tall, and she was a tiny girl so... wait, forget that! Why was she even doing this in the first place? In a mild and likely amusing panic, he quickly got down on one knee to set her down or at least make this strange game of 'climb the tall guy' less necessary. Before Hitoshi could ask the kid what the hell she was doing though, she was poking his forehead and he felt... something. Something besides the uncomfortable anxiety of being this close to another person, that learned behavior of keeping his distance from others a habit that he had yet to break. No, this was something else. Something the girl did, and whatever it was the effects were immediately noticeable to him, taking him by surprise enough that he almost didn't notice that the entire exchange had happened without a single word from the girl who he was quickly beginning to think was quiet not out of choice but was just mute.
Hitoshi felt... connected somehow, to both her and the boy they fought with. It was a strange feeling, not being alone in his own head, and he wasn't sure if he appreciated it. He didn't have the time to ponder on that though. The training match was still going on, and he wanted to go help that boy before their opponent regained his sight. Whatever this girl did to him he hoped it would help, because they would need every advantage they could get. Hitoshi stood up and went to rejoin the fight, but before he could take more than a few steps he could feel himself hit hard by a blast of wind.
s**t, the kids! Hitoshi acted instinctively on his protective nature, taking advantage of his larger frame that allowed him to keep on his feet even if only for a second longer to attempt to grab and shield the girl from the worst of it before all three of them were violently blown back. Unfortunately, he was too far away from the boy to do anything. He hoped the kid would be okay. Further thoughts of concern for anyone else were immediately cut short as he felt his upper back collide painfully with the wall, before sliding down to land on his butt.
Groaning, and rubbing his sore back, the boy held a thumbs up at their opponent, the original rather than the clone this time, who was shouting apologies at the three of them. "I-I'm okay! I'm good! Everything's alri- ow ow ow." He hissed in pain, his eyes darting around the room to see how the other two were doing. Yeah, that was probably going to bruise. He supposed he'd been kind of asking for it by jumping into something he clearly wasn't ready for, but still. Did that guy's clone seriously have to go from zero to a hundred like that?
One moment, Michio was soaring high. The next, he was literally soaring high. He flew backwards into a wall, somersaulting on the floor just before he collided with it. The back of his slammed into it and forced his teeth to clink together painfully. He slumped forward. It took a minute for his wits to return, as well as the sound of concern from the cacophony of imaginary friends that flooded his mind. Eventually, he shook loose of their words of concern - and, from a few, of mocking - before he looked up and rubbed the back of his head. "I - I am okay," he insisted quietly. "That was really cool, um, Himitsu. I gotta, uh, I gotta run." His hand instinctively went to his pocket, where he could feel a broken scroll. His drawings within it were undoubtedly ruined.
Still, his heart was racing. He had never been in a spar before. He survived it. He had felt like a hero for a long minute there. He licked his lips as he rose to his feet, tasting copper. He wanted to get stronger and do it all over again. "Thank you for the lesson!" He sounded genuinely chipper. "It was nice to meet you all." His emotional whirlwind in the recovery of his head injury came to an end with a bow to Himitsu before he left.

the sudden ink from the eyes of the squid guy had taken Himitsu as a surprise, with the boy panicking at the attack. In an instant, their ally came to Yui's aid, who would grab her as the three were blown away because of the sudden attack. The pain was lessen for the both of them, with the mute girl taking a good chunk of the pain that each had felt. They'd impact with a wall soon after, with Yui grunted and looking up at her savior with eyes of concern. She was a bit shaken up, maybe even a little sore from sharing the pain, but a good bill of health all things considered. Michio, on the other hand, seemed to have taken off. Yui went to follow him once she could walk without almost falling over, but would frown once she realized he was gone. She'd dust herself off before hurrying back over to her sketchbook placed in the safety nearby and then scribbling something out to show Himitsu. "What got into him? DId he get scared from your jutsu?" she asked, pouting at the boy while staring up at the other Genin that had saved her with another note for him. "Do you need any healing or anything?"

After checking that everyone was alright, Himitsu let out a quiet sigh of relief. Michio said his goodbyes and took off before Himitsu could really respond. Despite getting launched, he seemed to bounce back quickly. He noticed Yui's notes, and had to think about it for a moment. Learning from Shadow Clones was always a little odd if you didn't do it often. Having two slightly different memories of the same event from different perspectives could be difficult to pick through clearly, since the brain does its best to catalogue these things chronologically. "Uhh... Yeah... Something like that. Apparently I've got some issues with not being able to see to work out... Good to know, I guess? Sorry about that..." The boy was grateful that nobody had been hurt, and nothing was seriously damaged. And of course he'd gotten to see how strong everyone was. They were talented kids, but they were still kids with a lot of growing to do. Himitsu smiled, excited thinking about how strong they could all end up being. His smile quickly dropped into panic. "Oh, crap, I'm supposed to be at the Hokage's Office in 15 minutes! I've gotta go! Thanks for the fight! Name's Himitsu bythewaybyyyye!" His voice trailed and stretched in the wind as he shouted over his shoulder, already picking up speed in his dash to the Hokage's Office.

Bbefore Hitoshi knew it the other two males had left him and the girl behind, both of them seeming to be in a rush to get somewhere. Normally he would have felt self-conscious about that fact, worried he had annoyed them somehow, at the moment he was a bit preoccupied with the soreness of his back. Thankfully, the pain faded quickly. Honestly, it was more surprising than painful. Didn't mean it wouldn't leave a bruise though.
Before Hitoshi could get more lost in thought, he found a sketchbook before his face. Surprised, he looked up at the little girl he had attempted to protect from the worst of that wind. Fat lot of good it did. She looked about as dizzy as he felt. It looked like his previous assumption was correct and she was in fact mute if she was using this sketchbook to communicate. "I... I think I'm okay? I guess I would appreciate some assistance if you can though. Sorry uh... He paused, realizing he didn't know what her name was. That was fine. He could just introduce himself first. "Oh, I'm Hitoshi by the way. More importantly, how are you? You didn't get hit too hard did you?" From his current position still sitting on the floor Hitoshi was able to get a good view of the rather adorable looking pout the child was wearing, but couldn't spot any injuries.
She was a cute kid. Hitoshi didn't think he was good with kids, so hopefully this was going well? Geez, when was the last time he purposefully had a conversation with someone who wasn't Yukiko? All that time spent keeping primarily to himself was making him second-guess every social interaction today.

Yui fussed about as Himitsu left, watching him disappear into the horizon with a trouble pout on her face. How dare he just up and leave like that, even if in a hurry! If Yui could keep up with him, he'd be in for a world of hurt. But for now, she'd turn around to the other person who had been left in the dust by the group. He was the one who had saved her from that unfortunate little accident back when Himitsu had thrown the three of them into the wall together. After a few seconds of writing a response, Yui flipped the page and showed it to Hitoshi. "I'm Yui. Nice to meet you Hitoshi : ) I'll be fine! Promise!" Of course, she'd falter a bit and almost lose her balance while that dizzy feeling came back over her as she almost fell right back down again but caught herself before anything bad could happen. She shook her head for a moment to clear it, then would smile back up at the boy.
"Does it hurt anywhere? Or any cuts or bruises?"

Rreading her notes to communicate was going to take some getting used to Hitoshi thought, his hands reaching out to attempt to steady the girl when she looks like she's about to fall. She appears to catch herself though, so his hands just kind of freeze in place halfway there before awkwardly dropping them back down into his lap. When she shows him her sketchbook again, questioning him about his health, he makes a show out of inspecting his own body for anything. He tries not to wince when touching his upper back. He could feel a bruise forming there, but it was nothing serious enough to interfere with his training, and he'd already bothered Yui and her friends enough as is...
"I think I'll be okay. I appreciate the concern, but you needn't burden yourself with me. I'm... sorry for interrupting. I'd never been in a fight before, so I thought it would be a good way to test myself since training alone was getting pretty boring. Guess that didn't work out though. I guess I'm not ready to be a genin yet, huh?" Even if Hitoshi had managed to blind Himitsu a bit, it hadn't done them much good in the end. He'd been hoping to be able to leave the academy soon, but really it felt like he was just in the way. All three of them had been so impressive compared to himself. Even Yui, who hadn't fought herself, was able to buff the boy she'd fought beside and seemed to be a capable medic if her words were to be trusted.

It's been about one months since we recent "placement change." Did she feel bad leaving her original, sure. But, at the same time, she felt so could no longer be on a team with her closest childhood friends. After all, she did almost.... Shikarie shook her head shaking away the memories her brain for some reason was trying to pull back to the surface."Why am I remembering this now?" She complained to herself. Perhaps it was because of the reason that brought her here to the academy in the first place. Entering the building she noticed the place looked the same as the day that she attended this school. The same walls, same floor, same weird smell. Everything. Really took her back to simpler times. With each step she took Shikarie made her way to the one place she avoided at all costs as a child. The one place she never would have been caught dead....the library. Approaching the receptions desk she would make her request. "Excuse me, I need access to the restricted section. Specifically, in dealings with seals." The receptionist looked up from her paperwork and responded "Sorry, it's called restricted because it's you know... restricted. Authorized personal only.""I am aware" pulling one side of her coat open she reached into the inside pocket and pulled out her government-issued mask. The receptionist nodded and stood up from her desk."Follow me." The receptionist escorted shikarie to the very back of the library. Taking out her keys she took a single key off of her key ring and handed it to Shikarie."Lock up after you're done and return the key to me before leaving.""yeah, I hear ya"
Letting herself into the restricted area she locked the door back behind her. Wondering the aisles she would reach the binds carefully. Book by book she searched for anything regarding forbidden sealing jutsu. After a few minutes, she found a few books on the topic. Pulling them from the shelf she would carry them over to the nearest desk. Opening the books she would search for the topics on curse seals. Page by page she would turn the back. After several minutes maybe hours, she finally found what she was looking for."About time." Taking in every word she made sure to carefully understand what exactly a curse mark way. After several minutes Shikarie leaned back in ther chair and crossed her arms. Sitting there she just stared at the book before clicking her tongue."s**t." was all she could say. She learned some disturbing things. She will now never be able to gain a summoning contract with any species because she's "unpure." Not that she planned on it but the option is no longer available. The most unsettling fact was that the person that placed the seal on her can and has been able to know of her location and her capabilities. Just when she had gotten into the Anbu, has she already been compromissed. She doesn't even know who it was that placed the seal on her in the first place. The only bright side to all this is that she can learn to control the mark. Through the use of Nature Chakra? 'What the hell is nature chakra' Taking a moment to collect her thoughts she placed the palms of her hands on the desk and stood up.
Back to the shelves, she went. This time looking for information on nature chakra. If the seal functioned as some sort of mediator between her and nature chakra she must first understand what nature chakra was. once again she collected the books relating to nature chakra and learned as much as she could. Through her research found there were only two ways a person can learn to control nature chakra. First through the use of the summoning species that would help to collect the chakra for the shinobi. Obviously, that option was out for her since she's "tainted." Nextly, having another shinobi teach them how to collect nature chakra. Who the hell could she ask for help with something like this? The Hokage maybe? No, she didn't want her to know. Not yet anyway. Suddenly the face of a colleague flashed in her mind. 'Mina? No I can't ask her either' She was one of those she nearly killed. After that day Shikarie refused to lean of any of them for anything. She had no right to. She's still friends with them of course, simply just refuses to ask for their assistance. She read a bit more about nature chakra and all of the documentation based on how it works. She would need to learn how to do this on her own.
After an hour or so Shikarie memorized all the information she needed before collecting the books and placing them back where she had gotten them. letting herself out of the room she took the key and locked the room once more before returning it back to the receptionist."As promised"Thank you. Find what you needed""For the most part yes. Thanks" With that She waved the receptionist goodbye and left our to the school yard. The minute she made it outside Shikarie pulled out an open pack of cigarettes. Pulling out a single stick she would wrap her lips around the filter before lighting the other end. Taking a few puffs of the cigarette she would return the pack back into her jacket pocket. Making her way over to a tree and leaned her back up against it. Standing there she would watch the clouds roll by. Slowly she would slide down the tree until she was firmly sitting on the ground. With one leg extended and the other upright, bent at the knee, she would take the cigarette out of her mouth by pinching it between her index and middle finger. Flicking the ashes off she would rest her hand on her raised knee and watch the clouds roll by. Shikarie would sit there and stare at the sky. It would look as if she was just letting her worries go but she was in fact in deep thought. The longer she sat there the longer the cigarette burned. The ash would build up on the stick from the lack of movement. There was a pair of acedemy students training near by but Shikarie gave them no mind at all.
