Rayn watched as Bray scouted the area within the cave, searchingfor who-knew-what. A smile crossed his features and he let himself relax, just sitting and observing. Bray was beautiful to him in every way, no matter which form he took, and Rayn just couldn't tear his eyes away. Before long, Rayn was laying on his side, his head propped up on his hand. His eyelids drooped threateningly low as his own exhaustion caught up with him. But he refused to sleep. He needed all the time with Bray that he could get while they were safe like this. All the time he could watching him, learning everything about him.

Bray finished sniffing around the den before looking back to Rayn he was surprised to see the man looking exhausted and he moved towards the man. Giving a soft whine he nosed the man's arm that was under his arm urging him to lie down. Then he lay next to the man curling up.

Rayn laughed softly as Bray forced him to lie down. The wolf's concern was endearing to the man. "I'm fine, Bray" he promised as he held his wolf close "Just a little tired, but otherwise fine. No need to worry" He kissed Bray between his ears and just laid there, cuddling together with the one he loved.

Bray gave a snort hearing Rayn's laugh but lay down still none the less.He allowed to other to hold him close. He gave a soft whine when the other kissed his head. Giving a soft lick he settled.

The man smiled and slowly let his eyes close as his own exhaustion overtook him. Sleep came too quickly for his liking, but none the less he was soon enveloped by the contents of his own mind.

Bray slept for a little while but he awoke once more somewhere close to night. Something was wrong he could feel it, he knew what was going on even before he heard the howls. His father was here to collect him. Panic sent in quickly and Bray was quickly searching out a place to hide knowing he couldn't run straight out of the den. He was sure the pack was already close.

He quickly went to the storage hole he had found earlier. Quickly digging out the food he found he could fit in just beyond claws and teeth. It was just small enough for him to get into with some wiggling he was in just as Ian and Kuro entered. Ian moved to Rayn shaking the man awake. Kuro darted off to where he saw the dark tail disappear.

"Rayn you must wake up, we believe Bray's pack is here to collect him. We must get you both out of here." Ian spoke quickly.

"Ian I can't get him out!" Kuro yelled from in front of the hole.

Horrible dreams played through the man's mind. First the footsteps -frantic, hurried footfalls surrounding the man- then the shaking. It was as if a tremmor had stuck and began to toss and turn the man as he slumbered. But i wasn't a dream. Rayn knew as soon as he heard the first of the howls. It wasn't a dream

A gasp escaped his mouth as everything snapped into place, Kuro huddled over a hole in the wall, desperately trying to talk to Ian and Rayn. Ian shaking him as he tried to wake up. "Bray?" Rayn choked out, his mind still clouded. It was then he saw a flash of fur. No, not just fur, a tail! Bray's tail, in the hole in the wall. Rayn jumped, grabbed his backpack and his gun and went to the hole, extending his free hand as he shouldered his bag. "Bray, please we have to go, now! if we don't not only you but me, Ian, Kuro, everyone here will die or at least get seriously wounded by your old pack."

Rayn turned back to Ian and Kuro. "What do we do!?" he didnt' just mean about Bray, he'd meant it as an open invitation for any kind of plan. He hadn't been expecting Bray's father to find them so quickly. This ruined everything he'd planned thus far.

Ian smiled quickly when he saw Rayn open his eyes. "Hes over there..." Ian said shifting back to allow Rayn to get up. He moved to the small hole where Kuro was when Rayn did. Kuro moved back to allow the human down to reach within the hole. Bray had curled up at the back of the small hole in the cave whimpering softly. The whimpering only grew louder as a hand reached in after him again. This time though he could hear Rayn's voice. It wasn't his pack it was his father's pack and they were coming after him. He wanted to tell Rayn to run but he wouldn't be able to until nightfall and then he would be in more danger.

"First we have to get Bray from that hole then we need to run." Ian answered. "If we can get away then perhaps they will stop attacking the pack. Theres a den far away from here we can stay at for tonight. Its well protected and hard to get to for wolves."

Rayn listened, remaining completely silent until Ian was finished speaking. The plan sounded good, almost too good. Thee was no way it would be that easy. For one thing, the howling had sounded too close for the human's comfort. For another, Bray refused to move. "Ok" he said after a second. He turned back to the hole and leaned down so he could look in. JUST enough so he could look in, but stayed far enough away that Bray would know he wasn't going to force him out.

"Bray" he started, his voice dropping slightly in an effort to calm the wolf. "We need to go. Now. Ian and Kuro are going to help us leave and we're going to go to another where we'll be safe. But in order to do this you need to come out." He paused, expecting...something. "Please" he pleaded softly "Bray I knwo you're scared, but if we stay here we'll have no chance of making it...if we leave now we will at least have that much."

(It is exactly one year since we started this rp)

Ian and Kuro watched Rayn for a moment to see what the human would do. How would he be able to get the terrified backwards werewolf from what he thought was as safe a place as he could find. Hearing another closer howl the two werewolves looked to the den's entrance. "Hurry Rayn..." Ian said softly.

Bray could hear the increase in howling the closeness and it only caused his chest to tighten more in panic. Forest green eyes found Rayn as soon as the wolf heard him. He was having a hard time processing the words that were being spoken but he understood that Rayn meant him to be safe. He couldn't figure out if the other wanted him to stay there as he ran off or come out. The please broke through the panic and he nodded moving forward. "Rayn...?" Ian questioned more hurriedly.

Rayn heard the howl as well, and his heart hammered against his chest in responce. Bray wasn't moving. Either he was in shock and couldn't move, or something was stopping him from getting out. Rayn closed his eyes for only a moment, and when he opened them again they shone with intent. "Bray! Out, NOW!" he barked the words. They were an order, not a question, or a statement. Bray say the man as an Alpha, so he needed to act like an Alpha to make him listen.
