Peering into the office Israfel was almost fearing to go in and join his fellow year two students. He felt oddly out of place. His feathers and hair has started to change colors, he was getting taller, and to top it all off on the scream-tastic sundae, was the fact his voice was changing all on it’s own. Plus he was starting to get weird feelings. Mostly when Lucien was nearby. Okay only when the ghost boil was nearby. Still all the new changes were hardly helping the siren feel inclined to even poking into the office. But he needed to be there, to not go would be, could be… terrible. Taking a deep breath he strode in, trying not to bring attention to himself.
As the Arel explained what was just going on the jaw of the siren dropped. His scor were to be sent home. Oh jack what would his mother say? What would his grandmother? His sisters? His cousins? His aunts? Oh candlejack he was doomed, he could feel it already. And new classes? New? More? Oh no so not good. His already weak siren willpower had him trembling with anxiety. What if all his classes this year were super hard? What if he failed those too? Granted he didn’t know if he failed the other classes but he still worried none the less.
As the papers were handed out and one fell into Israfel’s hands there was still a small blessing on the siren’s side. A favor from the pumpkin gods. He was still rather… innocent and dimwitted in many respects. Panties? He had panties next year? Oh. Well. Could be worse, could have been detention. Or a notice that they were all going to have to spend a week in the princess corner. And israfel did not want to be a princess. Or be in the corner.
Looking to his fellow student he noticed Calder. And his face. “PSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT Calder.” He tried to get the kelpie’s attention. “Calder, you’re supposed to give up your seat for ladies.” He looked at Riley. Technically- He opened his mouth. Shut it. Opened. Shut. Opened. Looked around. Shut his moth. Noticed Shehk, opened his mouth. “Shehk your outfit…” He muttered in hushed tones. “So sexy.”
Israfel was totally jealous of the amount of sexy the undead was wearing. “Is that…southern scream-made spider silk lace?” He was fashion fascinated now.

Shehk laughed a bit.
"Well, can't pass up the best seat in the house, alas~" the pricolici mused, seeming very unoffended by not having Riley leap at her offer. Frankly it was all in good humor that she'd offered in the first place. It was all fun and games. The whole shebang was, after all. "I don't know what sort of course schedule we'll be getting. I hope it's fun, or I might be hitting up fitness club to burn off all this extra energy I've had lately." Shehk smiled then scratched the staples on her face out of some nervous twitch before her attention was tugged over to Israfel and his.. ... ....
Shehk looked down at herself. It was possibly the least amount of clothing she'd worn on a 'normal' basis ever. But it was sexy apparently? That alone told her that her attempts were going to...be headed in the right direction, at the very least. She just smiled back at the Siren.
"I'm not the only one who is looking good, Israfel. You're looking just fabulous." she cooed back at him, before sliding a finger underneath one of the layers of lace being addressed, looking over it with an almost questioning look.
Truly the answer to that question lay with Junko, Master Seamstress, but Shehk would have had to garner a guess that Israfel's eyes were spot on with knowing such things. In that sense, she decided to trust his assumption;
"I believe you are correct. Isn't it nice?" she seemed content. "It's rather comfortable to wear too!" The pricolici tugged just enough of it strung across her fingers to offer up a feel of it to the Siren.

Calder would have agreed that his friend looked stunning. Israfel was looking stunning, and while Calder didn't know the latest fashion, he did know how to accessories colors and appreciated the intricate work that went into styling your hair. Instead, he continued to make his face. Israfel was not helping, and Calder was starting to loose the feeling in one leg. Maybe he should stick to standing next time.
Speaking of looking good, Calder was now growing bored. Seeing as his friend was not going to help him, no doubt liking to be so close to his mistress, and not only yanked his hair, Calder was left sitting and staring at a wall of purple tentacles while his friends talked about their class schedule and fashion.
Then, unable to resist, Calder lifted both hands, and started to braid Riley's tentacles.

The school office! Colette hadn't visited it since receiving detention, which she planned to never happen again, and that plan was going well so far. Like the other students, she was here for graduating from a lowly snot. The Reaper had passed her exam and it was a triumph!
Colette sat and twiddled her thumbs anxiously. Congratulations aside, she wanted to know what becoming a Knob actually yielded. After-all, her parents already knew she passed and had nothing to worry about. Would there be higher level classes available? Maybe some exclusive privileges? Better lunch? And what was this pool on the roof she heard rumors about? The avian students probably knew everything from their view. Of course, when she received the paper from Arel, Colette dug into it excitedly.
And that giddy excitement died when she came across, "Laundry Bill."
A laundry bill. Certainly it was a mistake, it sure wasn't hers. Colette knew for a fact she didn't own these articles of clothing and definitely not that quantity. Field-trips and lost luggage wore down one's wardrobe -- not that she had a remotely impressive one in the first place. Sliding the paper to the farthest corner of her desk Colette shot her hand up and called out to the secretary, "Professor! I think you gave me the wrong paper." This has nothing to do with being a Knob. "I think it's your laundry bill?"

"Now that we have discussed your schedules-" The secretary took special note to give a jabbing glare to the few who dared interrupt his momentum: there was no mistaking the look of 'I know, and?' on his face as some of the students tried to apprehend what could have been a terrible mistake. Some other students might have realized in a sort of slow sinking fashion that they had never gotten their first year schedules either, in fact wasn't it rather odd that Amityville Academy had no visible list of graduates?
"- We shall discuss classroom homework etiquette. Classroom teachers will be expecting the students themselves to pick up tougher course loads as the semester goes on, which includes approaching the teachers themselves regarding year two assignments. If you can't take initiative now, then forget ever becoming successful in your future careers." Unfortunately, this sentence only made some of the students wonder how in Jack's name someone who called themselves the secretary of some sort of misshapen (at times) Academy could ever be considered successful. "Lastly, these are your new field trip permission forms that the headmistress has asked you to ah, update. If you could get these signed before you leave."
Oddly enough, the papers the secretary handed out were indeed updated Field Trip Permission waivers, detailing possible scenarios involving field trips mishaps, consenting to them, and not much else other than a line that was supposed to contain a signature right underneath a rather rigid "I agree" at the bottom. Arel fidgeted just slightly for some mostly-haunted pens before passing those across as well.

Barth looked very nervously at the Headmistress's door.
"So we err, so we have a choice, then?" he asked. The last few field trips, like the school play, and anything that required effort or was hazardous to his health, had been mandatory.
Not that he had anything against Field Trips themselves. He'd come out of them alive, so there was that, and his Fear was growing stronger. Which for someone normally surviving on no attack, no defense, no stamina, and the inability to move faster than a slow walk was....crucial. But so far he'd done it because he was extremely terrified of Hellma.
Mandatory was one thing. Asking him to volunteer for hiking and extra homework was pushing it.
The worst part was he had already been considering the last one with Cadmus.
Barth stood in gloomy contemplation of his life and his choices.

Calder hadn't noticed Jericho's warning as he was happily trying to braid and only paused when Riley tried to shoo him away. Where was he going? She was sitting on him and her tentacles were right there! It had to be the strangest thing to braid them though not only because it was Riley, but because Calder had never braided anything that wasn't just hair. Still, it seemed to work, and what he so far managed seemed to be staying on it's own. Perfect! He went to work on finishing the first braid when Arel started to give them the low down on what was going on. What surprised Calder was that they would have to go out and decide what classes they wanted, more or less deciding what career path they were taking, which had been something Calder was already asked by his guardian to decide and something he had no idea what to decide on. Worse yet, they were to go on field trips - something that through their experiences had be the key word to make everyone tense and worried in the room. Calder didn't like field trips. Field trips were bad, mkay.
It was also the fact he needed to RENEW his permission form made him want to renew it even less! First off, he didn't like field trips so why would he help that process along, and also he now had to send his official paperwork to his guardian and not his parents. This was not going to go over well.
Calder was glad to hide behind Riley only because he didn't like any of this, and occupied his time with braiding. It was then that he stopped just before finishing the braid and his eyes went wide. He then held a few more of the tentacles in his hands and held them up to peer into the mass. "You..... have ears?" He whispered.
Calder's mind was blown.
