"Dark curly hair, vivid blue eyes, a deep yet soft sounding voice, he was caucasian and quite pale. " She tapped her chin trying to give them a standing detail. She didn't want to seem like she knew too much but she needed to give them more information than that. As an eye witness it would be one of the only things that could possibly prove her innocence. "Oh and he seemed to be wearing a pair of black gloves that he would not take off, I'm not sure why though it looked as though her barely ever removed them."

"I see well we'll check our computer but the gloves part is interesting. We'll see what we can do but we may not have him on record in town. If you had a name then we could understand what is happening." The paramedic added as he checked the machine attached to Bradley.

She was worried for a moment, afraid that perhaps Valerian was following them and keeping track of what she was saying to the authorities. For a moment she thought to keep such things to herself, then she sighed, if Bradley died it would be all her fault and going to jail, well she would deserve it. Besides if worse came to worse, she would find a way out of the place. "Oh, wait... I think he did say his name. Something like...." she tapped her chin to make it seem like she was thinking hard. "Something like, Val... Valerin." She said purposely mispronouncing his name.

"Valerin? Well we've never heard that name before. I mean we've heard of Val, Valerie, Valerian, and some others. Although Valerian we only heard once and that was like 300 years ago. Well we personally didn't hear it but the hospital had heard of it. Who knows what happened to the guy there's no proven death record of him." The paramedic said while the driver pulled into the hospital.

"Oh... well perhaps it was a nickname." she said feeling foolish. Of course they would not have his records. They probably had no record of her either. No one really believed that the vampires had lived through their period of turmoil."I hope you find this guy... what he did was unforgivable."

The ambulance stopped as the hospital paramedics took Bradley to the ER for surgery. "Ma'am you'll have to wait out here." The receptionist told her. "He'll be in surgery for a few hours." She added as she then started working on her computer.

"A few hours? And you want me to wait while he is in pain and I am anxious out here surrounded by your white walls? I think not." she said crossing her arms and shooting a threatening glare at the woman.

"I'm sorry but it's company policy to do this ma'am. Only doctors, surgeons, and hospital staff are allowed back there with the patients." She said.

"Look here...." she said losing her patience, "If you don't stop being such a pompous little..."
She was interrupted by a firm hand on her shoulder. "Darling you really should not worry so much about him. He will be fine." The kind expression on Valerian's face interrupted her and froze her to the very bone. "I'm so very sorry my kind lady, I will escort her out." He said holding her by the shoulders and walking towards the door.
"N-no..." she said after a moment but just before she tried to free her self he held a knife hidden by his sleeve up to her throat. She gulped. Though she would probably live through it, it would take so long to get over the pain. Even though the wounds would heal on the surface, the pain would go on normally as in any human.

"Sir I will tell you that she cannot leave the hospital. The doctor would like to speak to her before he starts the process." She said as she noticed the black gloves and the description the girl had said. "What is your name by chance?" She asked hitting the silent alarm under the desk.

She smiled and looked up at his scowling look.
Turning slightly and still holding her by the shoulders he said, "My name is Adrian B. Madison the third ma'am. If you wish for her to stay than that is all well and good but you must make it quick as I have to get her home to prepare for tomorrow's trip to Europe as young master Bradley requested." He forced Adelline to stay turned around so she could not object unless she would want to be in very great pain at that moment.

"He should be out shortly." She said as the front door opened showing police officers.
"Freeze and put your hands up Valerin." They said pointing their guns directly at his back.

He gave a strong laugh that made Adelline shiver. "Firstly, the name is Valerian. Val. Air. E. An." he said pronouncing each syllable with ease. "Secondly I really don't think you want the girl to be harmed in any way. He said showing the knife that he was holding to her throat.
She had to do something, but if he hurt her and they began to operate, they may find out who she was so she was not quite sure what to do. She kept her hands shakily to the side, trying to think of a way to be released from his grip. If she got out of their sight for even a moment, he could finish what he started and retune her for what she was meant to do.

"Sir we don't miss our aim. Since we are sighted on you it would hit you not her. You can't move that fast. The only people who can are vampires but they don't exist so just let go of the girl and let us do our job of arresting you." The commanding officer said.

Another laugh, he pressed the knife against her throat slightly making it bleed just a bit, she flinched. Then without warning, and quite quickly, he pressed his mouth against her wound and sucked as hard as he could.
Adelline squealed, a vampire was not meant to be fed on by another vampire, it was so painful she took in a few quick breaths and fainted.
"Well gentlemen, would you like to give that a try?" He said licking his lips and then his knife. Her wound was still bleeding freely, though instead of it being a dark red color, it was a shiny black color kind of blood, though it still gave off a reddish color, it was much much darker than the average human blood, as though it had grown old and useless.
