On another note:
Twilight Debate now open.

It's nice that nobody cares.

None of my friends care, nor anyone I meet in person. I only hear arguments happening overseas.

There's that smug feeling of relief which one might feel on hearing that there is a zombie apocalypse, but that it has been safely isolated in a far-off land.

I don't care about Twilight in and of itself but there's a tangential issue which I do care about and that's Thom Yorke's involvement with the franchise -- or, more specifically, people's general reaction to his involvement.

Firstly, I don't think that people would have had as extreme a negative reaction to this if he had written a song for Transformers[1], or Sin City[2]. But secondly, I actually don't understand what the problem here is; I don't understand why people seem to think that Radiohead are an obscure band which must be protected from the mainstream and I especially don't understand the accusations of 'selling out' -- because it's pretty obvious that he hasn't compromised on artistic integrity. Besides, I find it hard to begrudge his licensing his music when I know that Radiohead barely break even touring and considering their track record on matters of human rights and environmental awareness. I wouldn't be surprised if he spent the money on like a thousand trees.

tl;dr Radiohead fans bore me a lot.

1: Which is a franchise of equivalent stupidity but aimed at 14 year-old boys rather than 14 year-old girls.
2: Which is exponentially more stupid but aimed at men. (I honestly would have cried if Thom Yorke had written a song for Sin City).

I will get back to you on Why Beauty Matters.

Not even slightly British, but Herzog's on iPlayer again! This time it's Nosferatu.

Love Herzog.

I made my stepdad watch this with me and he said it was "Alright."

I cried at the end, but when I didn't cry at the end of Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit my stepdad said I was "cold." emotion_facepalm
