Xenos, how close do you stay to the model with the camera? Thats what it seems liek to me, because the cloth background is clear and I can see the threads, but the model is blurry. So Id say youre too close.

Yeah, I think I just realized a big part of my problem. I was trying to get the model to take up the entire picture, but even at the maximum zoom, it's still pretty close, and it doesn't focus well. I suppose that if I was to take the picture from further away and then just crop off the uneeded parts, then that'd work better. Thanks!

Yeah, I really should have cropped the blank areas off of my pictures, but I'm just too damn lazy.

Actually Brookman I like it. It lacks in the definition I like where a line of a darker color is left on the very edge, but very cleanly done and it looks like you actually put time into it.

Looks good enough to me. Some touch up spots but all around clean lines and I like the color choices.

I like the paint job on your Vostroyan.

Only thing I'd say is try and bring out the highlighting on his cloth.

I am thinking of getting some of thoes vostrians (SP?) just to paint. But anyway I really like the wood grain.

It should be noted that I am a flat painter, I'm not proficient enough to blend, highlight and all those other fancy things. But thus far I've had about five people telling me that I couldn't paint. Something about flat paint jobs being below their own standards.

But I'm glad that it's received with postive replies.

Then, may I suggest you start experimenting with inks? They produce amazing effects without as much difficulty.
