I never understood the purpose of having more than one fan thread for EIs.

The GCD actually HAS one (Team Sprocket).

But the big reason I made the weekly thread when I did was as a reminder to others, that yes, it was friday, yes, stuff was changing, and no, we didn't need eleventy bajillion threads saying something had evolved.
