I had one of the biggest revelation of my life yesterday, while talking about nothing and everything with my parents and relatives from my mother's side.
...
I'm "half" Chinese instead of only a quarter. o_O
Apparently, my mom is full Chinese and can speak Vietnamese due to the fact her family grew up in South Vietnam. That's how she inheritated her Vietnamese culture. Then, my dad being full Vietnamese, I was born half of each. O_o
I don't know why I remember my mother saying I'm only a quarter Chinese.

I actually know others who are full Chinese, but are immersed into the Vietnamese culture, it's cool, confusing in the beginning though 'cause I wasn't sure what they were. Their grandmother was the only one who could speak cantonese, vietnamese and mandarin.
