((By Inspector Gadget you meant that generic 1980's cartoon? The 1980's produced a lot of cartoons which just don't stand the test of time... He-Man, TMNT, Inspector Gadget... but the 50's, 60's, and 70's were the absolute WORST decades for cartoons because of the strict standards and censorship. At worst, 1980's cartoons fell into the "Let's not try very hard because kids will watch anything" category.))

((Most people who read the TMNT comics felt the 1987 cartoon was an abomination. The story is completely different, and the comics are quite violent. Shredder was even killed off. [That's right, KILLED] in the first issue, there was no Dimension X, the Mutagen worked VERY differently and had a different origin, the foot ninja were humans, the Turtles are always extra careful to keep their existence secret, and there was no Krang, Rocksteady, or Bebop. The Turtles favor action and drama over slapstick comedy.))

Speaking of Dr. Claw, my dream last nigh was about him. As far as I can recall, Dr. Claw was threaten to be see for the first time so he was disguised as agent to fool the police.

{{It's not that I figured no one else would know what inspector gadget was... it's how I brought it up that I figured would be confusing. It's related to a conversation Leko and I were having. Also, I had a [short] friend who would always say "go go gadget arms" when she couldn't reach something rofl }}

((As for Inspector Gadget, someone far more competent should have been mechanized. He's a complete and incompetent idiot, and owes all his success to his niece and dog. If I were Penny I would have let him fail his assignments rather than put up the facade that he was a genius police detective.
Is it so wrong to want cartoons to have depth and seriousness? Even Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo took itself somewhat seriously and had depth to some degree.))

((That is HILARIOUS! rofl I like this chick already. xd I should SO do that. rofl Oh man, I'm like streaming tears over here! Anyway, Inspector Gadget was great. I loved that show.
And I'm okay with the TMNT cartoon. It was also a great show. ^_^ I used to pretend I was Michangelo all the time when I was little. That or the pink Power Ranger or Batman/Robin/Batgirl. biggrin Yay childhood! xd ))
-puts cocoa in a to-go cup- Welp, I gotta be skedaddling. Dnd and all that jazz. Might see you guys on later.

((I used to enjoy those shows too... then I rewatched them as an adult expecting the same depth and seriousness present in 90's cartoons and stuff made during the anime invasion. I was sorely disappointed. gonk ))

Moon Rabbit Reisen ((I used to enjoy those shows too... then I rewatched them as an adult expecting the same depth and seriousness present in 90's cartoons and stuff made during the anime invasion. I was sorely disappointed. gonk )) I have seen the old shows and was disappointed in a few, but you got to remember that we are not as young, tastes change, and they were for a different time.
