That got matthew to snap his attention to the doorl, "Goddamn it." It was mutter under his breath, way way to many immortals for his liking, he was not a happy camper at all now. he really shoulde have sat closer to a door, or window, or something, hells jsut not of came and delt with the police. Course at come point he'd have to, his car was there, "s**t." he stood, "Uh, be right back." He shot a grin before going to head outside, pulling his cellphone from a back pocket as he went. He'd report the damned thing missing, worked for him well enough, play dress up for the cops to look a little older, he'd done it before, so eh.

At the sound of the car outside, MacLeod moved quickly to the door to assess the situation. When he saw Geno get out, he relaxed. "It's all right," he told the bar denizens as he unlocked the door for Methos' old friend. "I know him."

Booth was kneeling beside Phoenix, his concern for her overshadowing the butterflies in his stomache at the thought of MacLeod outing the Watchers to so many Immortals. "Are you all right?" he asked her. "Do you need some water?"

Joe quietly followed Mat out the back.

Luana made no reaction at another person being added to the little party, didn't overly matter to her at the moment, "Hurry up and explain so we can get to work." She really wasn't trying to be rude or anything, but this was taking far to long for her tastes.

Tilting her head Phoenix looked up at Booth to shrug, a small pause as she nibbled on her bottom lip before nodding, it would work for her, water wasn't the best thing in the world, but yes, she would love some water. She gave a kind smile at him, she supposed she could stand and sit back in the chair so with another shrug she held her hand to him to get helped up, besides the floor wasn't all that comfortable.

"Mister Roads, how kind of you to join us." The words were from Kalika of course, she had a hell of a memory for things, like for people she never meet. Though her eyes weren't on him, not her sight trailed after Matthew and Joe.

It honestly took till Matthew was far enough away the buzzing in his head lessened for him to sigh and lean against a wall, it was only then he noticed someone else had exited as well. Another sigh on that as he closed his eyes, silently begging the head-ache forming behind his eyes to go away before cutting a glance to the person. "Er, hello?"

Adam screamed in helpless terror as the blade opened a deep and agonizing gash in his side, and he scooted as far away from his attacker as space would allow. Blood splashed the wall, cast-off from the knife's tip, flowed freely down his pale skin to soak the jeans Matthew had loaned him. He stared wild-eyed at Malachai.

"Who are you people?!" he yelled as they gleefully watched him. "What do you want?!"

"Oh my god, that is so cooool," Lance grinned as blue Quickening power began to dance over the wound a few minutes later.

And that almost freaked Adam out more than being cut open had. His expression was a study in pure astonishment as the bleeding slowed, then stopped. The pain of the slash faded before the electric tickle of blue lightning that knit the wound together, healing it from the inside out. "What the hell have you done to me?" he whispered hoarsely.

The men stared at him for a moment in confusion, then began to laugh. "You're a real funny guy," Malachai chortled.

"You sure this dummy's really Methos?" Lance chuckled.

Joe was leaning on his cane, looking like a harmless middle-age man with a pair of fake legs, but he kept his free hand in sight for Matthew as added assurance that he meant no harm.

"Wanted to tell you you don't need to worry about your car," he told him. "It's in safe keeping." He paused, a grin just touching his bearded lips. "Your snake's fine, too."

Inside, MacLeod was bringing Geno Roads up to date before he started in about the Watchers.

"Oh." A pause on that as he scratched his head, "Erm, thanks? I think?" A shrug, not that he moved to go back to the pub, nope, not yet, the lack of sound in his head was as refreshing as the air. He had honestly forgotten about poor Copper, "Damn, my poor baby."

Joe nodded, then turned to go. He might not be able to sense Immortals, but he knew the feeling of being in a room full of people who might want to kill you. His mind briefly flickered back to the Watcher Tribunal, where he had been on trial for his life. Methos had come to his aid then, even giving up one of his own journals to plead Joe's case.

He had never properly thanked the Old Man for that. He hoped he got the chance to correct that oversight. "There will be beer in the bar when you're ready to come back in," Joe said to Mat over his shoulder.

Geno Roads

Geno frowned as he was hit by several buzzes at once. He gripped Duncan on the shoulder. "I am here to help you find Adam." He said with a smile; looking around at the other people who were present in the bar. Geno turned to them and gave them a low bow. "My name is Geno William Roads." He stated, looking the others' in the eyes.

Mat nodded on that, "Thanks." It was half muttered though as he closed his eyes again, yeah he'd go back in, he felt sorry for the guy now sadly, he didn't seem bad, so now Mat had to help out if he could. It was another three minutes before he kicked off the wall and stuck his hands in his pockets before wandering back for the door, being kind and knocking before slipping back in.

Gaston Marceau

Gaston just chuckles and shakes his head as yet another Immortal runs up and Mat goes off to hide. "Any more guests and Dawson would be a fool not to post a cover charge."

When Roads introduces himself, Gaston follows suit. "Gaston Etienne Marceau at your service." Probably the first time he's used his middle name in years. Heh. "Can we find out what's going on now?"

MacLeod nodded at Gaston as Joe hobbled behind the bar to pour beer for any who wanted it, and Booth brought the newly seated Phoenix a glass of cold water. It was clear to see by anyone who knew him how much Mac ached to go charging off looking for Methos. His body movements, his voice, they had become tightly controled, like a coiled spring.

"We don't have time for a history lesson right now," he said to the room at large, "so I'll be brief. The Watchers are a secret society of mortals that watch Immortals and record their lives so that true history will not be lost. Each one of us has or has had a Watcher."

He paused briefly, jaw clenched, to field any relevant questions to his startling statement.

Phoenix gave another smile to Booth int hanks before sipping the water, not even pausing on the newly learned information from Duncan, in fact she only shrugged like she didn't really care. Which made sense, she really didn't, so hey, it worked, why would it matter to her what others did, she had a boring as hell life normally anyways.

Silently glaring was still Kali, at lest before she decided glaring at a room full of people that could kill her wasn't wise so she turned her attention to the laptop, maybe there was hearts or something she could play to keep from staying stupid things.

As Joe offers people drinks, Gaston politely declines the beer. "That's more Adam's taste. Another rum, please."

MacLeod's revalation is a little bit disturbing, but not overly so. All that stuff Methos used to say about manipulating the chronicles of his life to hide his true identity made just a bit more sense now. Gaston suspected bits and pieces after his association with Methos, anyway.

Instead, he asks what he thinks is a relevant question. "How much do these people know about Adam?" Like his real name, for instance...

Mac glanced back at Joe as he poured Gaston a rum, but it was Booth who timidly spoke up. "I was... I'm Adam's Watcher," he said. "He's my first assignment."

Joe smiled, sharing a silent look with MacLeod. He had thought Methos a safe start for the young field recruit. The Old Man led a fairly routine life, and if he disappeared on Booth it wouldn't cause a fuss. Sooner or later Methos would check in with Mac or Joe, anyway.

But Gaston's question was a delicate one. Both Joe and Duncan were aware that this student knew Adam's true identity, but other than Luana and Geno no one else in the room did. And it was a fair bet that the fact that Methos had also been one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was even less common knowledge.

After a moment Joe answered, "Booth Deal knows all about Adam Pierson. Any other knowledge goes higher up." To Mac's raised eyebrows he added quietly, "Cassandra's Watcher."

The distraught Scot swore under his breath.
