"Why do you keep saying that? How could you hurt me?" She looked up at him, unable to stop the small tears from rolling down her cheeks. "What do you mean..."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"I...you don't need to know," he whispered softly.  

[Alrightey]

"Please tell me...I want to know."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

Botan sighed and lowered his head. "During one of our 'sessions'...I developed another personality. One that comes out whenever I'm in extrememe pain. My other side is very violent. Where as I try to control my emotions and my agner, he destroys evertying in his path."  

[Alrightey]

"And this shot...it supresses this 'other side'?  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"To say the least yes," Botan replied. "It speeds up my cell regeneration, meaning my body heals before he's able to take over."  

[Alrightey]

"And what would happen if you stopped taking these shots?"  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"He would come out...and I would hurt people," Botan said softly.  

[Alrightey]

Ayame would move behind him, aware of the pain in his chest and wrapped her arms around his waist. Letting her cheek rest on his back.  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"I've hurt people before...and that's why I don't mind taking the shots. Besides, death is far better than the life I live now," Botan whispered.  

[Alrightey]

"Stop being so selfish..."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"What do you mean?" Botan asked looking confused.  

[Alrightey]

"You say death is better than this life...but what about me? Are you so selfish you'd leave me behind with out a second thought?" She had taken her arms from his waist.  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"Well...I...," Botan said obviously shocked by her reaction. "I mean...well...it's just...I didn't think anyone would care."  

[Alrightey]

Ayame was a quiet for a moment and then stood. "I see...you think no one would care..." She walked over to the door and stopped in the doorway. "Next time, think harder before you actually state that no one cares." With that Ayame stepped out into the hall and closed his door. She wasn't mad at him, just hurt is all.

Quickly making her way down the hall, Ayame headed for the art room.
