I like kids' animation, and mod a fansite or two for cartoons aimed at kids 7-10 years old. I am really sick of horny, lonely teens and college-age kids joining and wanting to get it on with each other, or have the cartoon characters get it on, or have themselves get it on with the cartoon characters. Humor I enjoy, but the talk slides into the gutter so fast it is like:
Hello, I like (name of cartoon) Let's post porn pictures!

Thanks for the advice and nice thoughts. I'm sure I'll have more to complain about later, but today has been ok! I never thought I'd have to live "one day at a time". eek

Good luck, Umberella... I'm sorry for your parting from Harbone, that must be very hard for both of you. *sending good vibes* Hoping that things get much better for both of you soon... and for your Mom... Keep in touch, and take care. wink heart

Needing to get work done outside and the rain will never stop... and when it does it is not stopped long enough for things to dry up so I can do what needs to be done.

Send some of that rain over to NC, Lil-Jo...we had virtually no precip all winter, and it's continued to be dry this spring, as well as starting too cold to plant, then turning lovely & warm for a while...then getting ICE & cold wind & 20 degree temps on Easter weekend that damaged all the flowers. Now it's leaping straight into the 80's & 90's, still dry. :X

You know, I usually only pray or make a wish when I'm in pain and, whenever I do, it seems like, it gets granted pretty damn quick - only it's never what I actually wanted! So I try not to ask for anything too often, but then I lose my temper and I get another wish!
ARGH!
And I got hit up by six different evangelists this weekend, one of whom decide to send a shatteringly loud message about all the gangs and drugs and violence my rather quiet, family-oriented, hard-working, church-going neighbors need to get themselves out of. AAAAND I made the mistake of getting in an argument with one of the happy little disciples of this guy AAAAND I'll bet all my neighbors think I'm a satanist, now.

I hate it when you get to the pharmacy and they don't have your medication ready. Last week, I ran out of my migraine medicine and walked the empty prescription box in. The girl at the counter took the box, looked at it, turned to the pharmacist and give it him, he looked directly at me and said the refill would be ready in an hour. Well, I came back after an hour and the refill was filled, the girl said the pharmacist was backlogged and I could pick it up the next day. The Next Day - I walk into the pharmacy and a young man helps me. He looks high and low for the refill. Can't find it. Comes back to me and asks when did I call in the refill. I tell him I walked it in yesterday evening and handed it to the girl over there. The girl, looks at me as if she had never seen me in her life and says, I wasn't working last night. Now, my minor migraine that I been nursing all day with a cold compress is beginning to rage. I look at her and tell her exactly what she was wearing, the conversation we had briefly about her messy brother, and that she apologized that my refill wasn't ready and asked me to come back today. NOW, the friggin light in her head goes off and she says "oh, now I remember your refill had expired and couldn't be filled." I scream "WHAT! THAT REFILL WAS GOOD UNTIL 2008" The pharamist has now caught on that there is a problem and asks the girl where is the refill order, she turns to him and says the refill was expired. The pharmacist asks why didn't she call me to let me know this, the girl says she forgot... I then turn to the pharmacist and girl and asks "where is the box with my prescription on it because I know I had more refills". The girl turns to the pharmacist and says she threw it out because it was no good. Now, I'm totally pissed beyond words, my migraine is raging, and the pharmacist is stumbed. I turn to the girl and say "do you know what it's like to have a friggin migraine... do you understand that you've basically thrown away my painkillers and now what the hell am I supposed to do?" The pharmacist pulls the girl to the back, the people behind me start asking me what happen, and not more than 5 minutes later I've got a refill and I'm being charged $20.00 co-pay. Arggghhhhhh scream

I tell people that it takes me at least two or three days to answer my phone calls. That's bad because it's SUPPOSED to take me 24 hours, but I can't really keep up, since I'm backlogged as it is. Then you have these guys who, after I've told them this, call me, like 6 times in a row! Yesterday, I had a guy call me so many times in a row that I filled up a whole sheet of my phone log just jotting down his calls - I have to list each one. FORTUNATELY, that means I took care of a whole page with one call to this guy. UNFORTUNATELY, it took 15 minutes to clear the messages! And his question was both inane and intended to mislead me! ARGH!
I mean, I spend the first 6 hours of my day in interviews with various clients and then I've gotta find a way to return their phone calls, put their cases together, run their cases through the state computer system, double check the verifications for their files are in place, get alternate verifications if they haven't turned in the right ones (and it's rare they ever do because even if they manage to get the right paperwork together, the requirements have usually been altered by another "improvement" to CBMS before I even have the last ones down), arrange the folder per spec and then call these wahoos back so that they can tell me how unfair t is to be cutting off their benefits 'cause, you know, they worked so hard for 'em.
Add to that I don't actually HAVE access to the DOLE system which I'm supposed to run every case through (about four people in the building do, not counting supervisors, who are far too busy auditing Every Single One of the cases of every person in my unit, since we're all new, to have time to check extra cases.) I WOULD report a lot of the crappy excuses and obviously forged paperwork I get to Fraud, except that we were just informed that we have the smallest Fraud division in the state (and the second largest population on public assistance.)
Oh, AND, I'm supposed to get these cases off my desk in like, 10 days. Most of my fellow workers just slap a flat denial on any case that isn't perfect, but I'm just not that ruthless yet. I still think a little investigation will work out most the kiniks, but you know what? It doesn't! It does turn up some Very Nasty Goings On. It also clued me in to the following equation: the more times someone says "Praise the Lord" or "You're a Blessing" during an interview, the more likely they're not only scamming you, but committing some kind of abuse that just turns your stomach.
I think it's gonna be kinda of a relief when they can me, but I cry every time I lose a job anyway. Ugh.

Throwing a grad party, having people that you know are big beer drinkers promise they are going to show up, so I (a non beer drinker) goes out and gets more than plenty, and those people do not show up.
Beer anyone?

I am pregnant and I cannot drink! But there's been a few occassions here that I really wished I could thes past couple weeks!
My husband gave away my beers (he doesn't like beer). He tried to give away my bucket of margarita in the freezer too. I can use that when my friend comes over. He'd better not touch the blackberry brandy I have squirreled away. That stuff will keep until I've had my baby.

You know, I just realized that I hate it when I got to a forum or a guild to discuss something I enjoy, for instance, cartoons, and no one wants to talk about it, just like Cherry Sodah already said.
