Shansa had spent the previous days tending to the need and questions of various pae. To make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. The last thing they needed was for someone to do something they weren't supposed to or worse, infuriate her mother. As long as her mother was happy everything would go smoothly.

The young grace stretched before looking in the mirror to make sure she looked okay, she had the slandered of the Deities to uphold after all. After finding that she looked perfect, she flew out of the room and into the room that had been prepared for the party. She fluttred by the entrance for a bit, to keep any eye on the mortals and see if there was anyone who needed anything. She wondered how her two younger grace sisters where doing. As much as she'd like to take a break and maybe have a snack, it was more important to fulfill her duty as a young grace so that she could be come a full grace at some point.

Saira had been among the first to enter the party, which made the enjoyment of watching the others trickle in slowly all the better. Below was her sister, already out and about obtaining food and... was that that friend of hers?! Given the way she moved to sit beside him in the corner, there could be no mistaking it. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at them with such intensity that it could send shivers down one's spine; that male looked equally stupid.

Birds of a feather, huh?

Huffing, she turned to ignore them and look instead down at the others, leaning back and plopping a ripe strawberry into her mouth as she did so. She was still chewing on it as she got the feeling she, too, was being watching.

Saira looked to the side in time to make eye contact with another of her kind. She analyzed her as she was in turn studied, shrugging at some point and choosing to pay her no heed. As far as harpies were concerned, she was less territorial than most (thanks to her sister's influence, and not that she'd likely admit to/know it). Figuring that was the source of the feeling, she looked no further and continued to watch the others.

Did those two teens down there look familiar...?

Oh well didn't this guy look rather pleased with himself, and damn right he should considering the two absolutely beautiful sisters paying him some attention. It wasn't the first time the two of them had pulled such a stunt, nor did Aisha have any inclination of making it the last. There was something about do this as a pair that was more exciting that when it was alone; plus, this way also allowed her to keep an eye on her sister and vice versa in case the individual was not worth their time.

This guy certainly knew how to behave, however, in a pleasing manner. In fact, she might almost say it was charming.

"With pleasure~" she answered, matching his purring with that of her own. Carefully, she moved to sit on the side of him closest to her, glancing over at her sister in the process to see whether she'd take his other side or sit beside her instead. Either way made for interesting interactions.

"We did forget, didn't we?" She laughed, her words taking a polite, though still informal, tone. "I'm Aisha, and this is..." she motioned to her sister to finish introducing herself.

Hatil tossed a piece of seared, medium-rare beef into her mouth as leaned her head back against Valko's and yawned. It was rare for the hunter to openly display such a sign of weakness - weariness - and was one subtle indication that she trusted her friend quite a lot.

Unlike many of the others in the room, her unruly hair remained so, her short, tussled curls merely made softer against the skin by the island's amenities. The only difference to her normal look was that the braids normally kept to the sides of her chin were instead pulled back and fastened with some myriad of pins (only the cherubs could have managed even that). Her favorite beads and feathers - two she'd stolen from her sister long ago - remained attached.

As she smiled at him, she tossed another piece into her mouth and nodded. "Sounds good~" she cooed after swallowing. "It'd be silly to bring here." Not that it didn't seem silly to her that he'd brought it at all, but, thankfully, it had been generally missing for all but that first day.

For how open-hearted and easy-to-read the angel had been before, his newer attributes put the nail in the coffin. His forward whiskers twitched and his tail happily swished to and fro to the cheerful ring of her voice.

While he did enjoy their daily life of quiet coexistence - although they had yet to take that next step of actually living together - something like this was a pleasant change from the normal. They'd continue to take things at their own mundane pace, but the new atmosphere brought a freshness that he could scarcely imagine otherwise. It felt like when the first sprouts of the summer harvest began to bloom in the spring sun.

Offering his love a smile, he nodded. "Sounds like a purdy good place ta start." As they started off in that direction. "What'cha in da mood for?"

Honestly, Wellspring didn't do much of anything in the time that followed. It had been enough of an awkward, uncomfortable, unpleasant meeting from his past that the thought of going back out and happening upon her again made his stomach reel in rejection. Certainly, he was being a bit overdramatic, and he understood this well, but it wasn't his fault that he reacted in such a way.

Maybe if she hadn't been mean to him in the fist place, this wouldn't have happened.

Maybe they might have even been friends?

He didn't want to go to this party.

If allowed to his own vices, he would have continued doing what he had been doing the days prior and would have simply kept himself occupied elsewhere, where nobody could find him. There was no need for him to be out and about; it's not like anyone wanted him there anyways.

What was the point?

The cherubs were not about to let anypae skip the main event, however. Practically binding him, they swarmed, far too many of them for him to fight back. He'd been put into a savvy pinstripe suit, complete with shoes, and his long hair had been tightly pulled into a braid with many colorful seashells woven right in. His angular eyes and features were accented by the clean look of his attire.

But bless Laisidhiel did he feel suffocated!

Once dressed, the horde had taken the liberty of dragging his a** out to the floor as well, and more than a few of the NPCs walking around took notice of him in the meantime. Blushing, he was quick to hide himself in the crowd.

"The pool, of course~" he responded in a cheerful, matter-of-fact way. While they may have been related, and they normally conversed cheerily in such a way, the fact of the matter was that he was a naiad. He might have grown more tolerant to an extended stay outside the water (or perhaps he was just better at tolerating the feeling), but even he could become dehydrated with ease.

Returning to the water was always a pleasant release.

Time passed and soon the night of his grandmother's grande party was among them. It would be his first time attending, and boy was he excited to help out all of the family members with their duties and with ensuring the night was memorable (in a good way) for all.

He might have also been a bit interested in seeing the mayhem he'd heard about in action.

Just a tiny bit.

With his hair properly combed, he ran off through the halls to join the rest of the party. The room was just as ornately decorated and perfect as Venus had described - he'd make sure to give each and every cherub a proper thanks later, just in case she didn't (which she probably wouldn't). Smiling, he weaved through the crowd with a nimble grace, eyes wide and searching for any that might be in need of some assistance.

The boy certain knew how to intrigue Raabi'a, he greeted them with a bow and then flourished towards the area behind him. He certainly could act formal an polite like a prince. She chuckled lightly as he stared at her sister and herself. She knew they could turn heads, her sister all ways knew how to make an entrance and was great at picking out the perfect outfit for an occasion. Not that Raabi'a was in cable of doing either things. It was just easier when you had someone who was on the same wave length to help you out. Which was why they made such a great pair.

"Of course" She responded to his invitation to join him. She paused for a moment to decided where to sit. Siting next to her sister was the safest bet, but sitting next to him would be interesting. Hmm what to do. After a moment Raabi'a sat down on the other side of the boy who had just introduced himself.

"I'm Raabi'a" She purred, as her sister left of the introduction.


Valko was eating some broiled pork when Hatil leaned her head against him and yawned. He smiled softly as she yawned, it seemed like his friend was a bit tired. He was careful not to jostle her as he continued to eat in case she ended up taking a nap.

Valko had noticed that she had pulled her braids back, he couldn't tell if anything else had changed about her hairstyle but her thought she looked pretty nice. He hadn't bothered doing anything to his hair, he hadn't seen the point but now he was wondering if he should have brushed it or something.

He popped another piece of pork into his mouth and finished quickly as she spoke. "Very silly" He responded. Unsure of why anyone would lug around such a heavy and large sack around if they didn't need to.

Shansa had settled on one of the benches that where next to the pools, the bench she had chosen was the closest one to the entrance and was a perfect vantage point from which to keep an eye one who ever was entering the hall.

Seeing that a mortal seemed to be watching her and wobbling a bit the young grace got to her feet and approached the other pae. "Hello! Is there anything that you need help with?" She asked cheerfully, as she got closer.

She wasn't telling, not the truth anyway. "The real work is in the details before anyone gets here." That was all she offered as she effortlessly lost herself in the dance. Twirling away, she kept one hand tightly in his, the other getting caught up in the drama for a moment. Her free hand came up in a flourish as Harmonia twirled back to her Champion. Loosing her wings, it wouldn't do to have anything between them, the Deity sighed as her back landed flush against him.

With a sparkle in her eyes, she turned her head enough to look at him and responded, "There is no where I would rather be on the mortal realm." The two of them were magic as far as she was concerned, a gift from Venus that she even found him. Her siblings could play or hide, not so long as she had her Champion would she shy.


Grendell watched his reaction, curious how he would take the whiskey. "You know, they say you can tell a lot about a pae by their drink of choice." Just what was he trying to say by his choice? Given his words after the shot, she had a feeling he wasn't saying what he might think he wanted. That or there was more to learn about her eager little companion. Griming to herself she answered the bartender, "Cabernet," It was an elegant drink, and she expected high quality from an event like this.

Speaking of, where was the lady of the hour?

As he heard footsteps behind him, he turned his head to greet Nicky. "Ah!" The male jumped slightly as the gorgeous face he was expecting was instead a horrible creatures!

Then it clicked. And he doubled over laughing. "Nicky! Where did you GET that?!" He managed out while still laughing.

She grinned ear to ear as he played along. "I suppose that would be alright. He wouldn't want me to go alone." She slipped her hand within Juniors. The male really did look dashing. "Did you get all dressed up for me?"

He nodded to her request for a drink. "Yeah, that's a good idea." With that, he stuck out his arm for her to take, all gentlemanly. "If you'd allow me to escort you."

Maybe...maybe today he'd tell her.

"Hopefully we won't run into your dad though. I don't think he really likes me."

Her booted heels softly clicked as she walked, smoothly weaving throughout the crowd to pick out someone interesting to talk to. Surely she wasn't the only single pae there, right? That would be...very sad actually.

But just as she was about to slink to the sides to take a seat, her amythest eyes caught a familiar figure. "Wellspring!" Oh thank Guardians! Some pae she knew! Well, it was a pae who generally disliked her, but she knew him nonetheless! "Well don't YOU clean up nicely! Did the spa people do your hair too? It's nice!" Ready or not, here she came. She had to be careful though, the slight wagging of her tail was making her skirt sway.

Waitaminute, he wasn't alone. Her gaze flicked to the green angel. A friend of his? "Oh...sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt?

Paloma had been keeping an eye out for both her poolside friend and for her adoptive father. However, seeing neither of them, she'd went ahead and ordered a drink and was halfway through it when Lagoon appeared at the bar. She looked fantastic; her attire accented her form in a most exquisite way.

Paloma admired her from afar for a moment before picking up her drink and moving to sit next to her.

"A pleasure to see you again," she said, a warm smile on her face and her voice like dark honey. "You look lovely."

Any thoughts Kelebek may have been having about Hjortur's past evaporated the instant he whispered those words to her. The sensation of his breath on her skin was unlike anything she'd ever experienced. He'd done so before, of course, many times, but it was an entirely different thing when out of water. The warm air against her wet skin...it made her hair stand on end and it felt like her scales were tighter against each other than normal.

She relaxed into the water (as much as she could, as she apprehensively waited for her love to return) and swished her fins. The very pink lighting permeated most of the room, which was comforting to her. She felt like she blended in. Disappeared a little. Not that she was feeling self-conscious in this moment--it just always felt more comfortable to be out of the way, unnoticed.

Monroe happily took Gray's arm, parading each other around towards the drinks. She bet they looked like a picture worthy of hanging on these walls, minus the fact that she wasn't that one pae.

And then Gray said the most awful thing ever and her whole picture came crashing off the wall. Ohhhhh he was right, it was easy enough to avoid her dad, even forget he was even here, at such a big resort, but literally everyone was at this party! "Oh no! Don't say that!" Monroe said, smacking Gray's arm dramatically (but lightly). Her dad was probably somewhere around here, and now she was going to spend the whole evening looking for him.

"I wouldn't take it personally though..." There was really no reason for her dad to dislike Gray. There was the boat incident, but as far as her dad was concerned it had nothing to do with Gray. They really hadn't gotten into all that much trouble since then. Any trouble, really. "He's just being silly. If you were anyone else, he'd still be this way I think."

Andro easily downed her first drink, ordering a chaser of her own double shot of rum. The alcohol wasn't enough to make her tipsy, but enough to make her feel a tad bit warm. She leaned against the bar, taking sips as Darias drank like a fish, watching the other pae as they wandered by and mingled with one another. The hall was really decked out in pink, but she wasn't surprised considering memories of their hostess from last year. The woman had a bigger ego than Darias did, and that was massive on its own.

"Do you think we could steal and sell any of the decorations?"

There was a bit of silence that fell between Navi and Xylia as the fae looked out over the party to see all of the others coming in. She then turned back to talk to her new found friend. "So where do you...live..." And Xylia was gone, she could see the other angel now talking with a rather unique looking Pae with a crab hand. Apparently they weren't friends. With a heavy sigh, Navi felt her excitement drop a little and she went to wonder through the crowds. Without meaning to, her camouflaging power started to kick in and blend her into the background a bit.

"Well, I hope that you aren't afraid to find yourself out there on the floor." Serendipity flashed Harlequin a warm smile as he asked for a dance with her. "I'd be happy to share a dance with you. Come find me when you'd like one." She took a look around the party, hoping to spot a certain someone, but instead finding the bar. Perhaps she could use a drink. She was feeling nervous. "Please excuse me, I could use a refreshment. I hope to see you on the dance floor." With a polite smile, she excused herself and left for the bar.

"May I please have a mai tai, strong?" She asked politely to the bartender.
