Ah, fun time with the old human was over. The little hint of fear from the human's panicky flailing had been delicious, but someone had rescued both Selene and the human. And the ghoul who'd jumped in after them. Nahm spent a moment eyeballing her. Nice.
When the commotion was over, though, he went back to Shine, because Shine seemed to feel better when she had someone to cling to, and Nahm had no qualms about enjoying being clung to. "Ready for more adventures?" he inquired cheerfully.
The bright lights at the movie theater made him wince and pull the hood of his sweatshirt further over his face. With the form-altering pin on, he didn't have to worry about the light burning him - and wasn't that an interesting development, one he'd have to look into for future consideration, because he was proud of his cultural heritage but sometimes the necessity of wearing the robes at all times was just plain inconvenient - but the reflex of keeping away from brightness was deeply ingrained. Anyway, he just plain didn't like all this flashy light. Was the human world always this bright?
The smell of food distracted him, and he licked his lips thoughtfully. "Shine, you hungry?" he inquired, and moved to take some of the human money that Selene was passing out, the paper with the number 100 printed on it. Was that 100 seeds, or 100 seed slices? If it was 100 seeds, then they might actually be able to get some decent amounts of food with it - no, wait, movie theater. Did human world theaters inflate prices like Halloween theaters did?

Once Selene came through, the group had begun to move en masse through the city. Steffani tried in vain to focus on her brief explanations as they went, but all of the sights -- and, let's face it, the gripping fear that something would go terrible wrong -- were an unpleasant distraction. She made sure to drag Lark after her more as a method of protection than comfort, and even reached back at one point to ensure that Eldrid was following along, too. She didn't want to just leave the poor boil behind! Especially not here. D:
They got to the theater fairly quickly, and Steffani shuffled in with the throng, looking around and grimacing at the bright poppy colors of the snack bar. No thx. Grasping her ticket, she looked over at Lark and Eldrith, smiling a bit. "Going to get something? If not, we should probably go find good seats."
This part, she wasn't too worried about. It was a movie! What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

A movie! A moviiiiie! Yaaaaaaay! This was so exciting. Jurassic Park 3D? What movie was that? And...what kind of paper was this? It was weird and had a face and numbers all over it. Did humans eat this? "Efflo look, this man has no hair on the top of his head! He looks silly." Sibyl giggled and pointed at him. Maybe if she had a pen she could give him hair! Was that it? This was an assignment? Design an old man's hair! Yay! Except she saw others giving the paper to the boils and ghouls behind the snack counter, Gabby included. Oh...it was..currency? Weird.
"Gabby, Gabby! Look! This man has no--" Eh? She blinked, watching Gabby grab Efflo, stick his tongue out at her and growl something before walking away...without her. Her smile fell. Wh..what? Why did he do that? Did she do something wrong? Was he mad at her?! Why was he mad at her?! Did this mean he wouldn't love her anymore?! What had she done?! She looked down at the paper money in her hand with a little frown, pocketing it and making her way toward the theater auditorium. She peeked around the corner and searched for Gabby and Efflo, finding them in the back as they'd been told to do. That giant popcorn was in the seat beside Gabby, too. Normally she would make the logical assumption it was a seat being saved for her but not when she thought Gabby was mad and didn't love her anymore. This was good though. Gabby looked happy which was all she wanted for any of her friends, right?
Maybe she should give him some time. She could go get her own snacks! Was human food any good? Sibyl quietly snuck out of the theater again to return to the concessions counter, looking over the huge board of options. Some of this smelled weird, some of it looked weird. "I waaaaaant..that frozen drink! The blue one! Annnnnd...Swedish fish? Gimme lots of those!" She slapped her money down on the counter with a huge smile. The boil grimaced.
"You too? What the hell is this some kind of joke?!" Why were these kids coming to him with these huge bills!? He was tempted to write out a sign saying no bills over 20! He sighed, preparing her Icee and grabbing ten bags of Swedish fish for the girl. "Here you go, that'll be--hey! Your change!"
Sibyl had gathered everything up in her arms and wandered off. What were Swedish fish? They looked tiny and red..were they filled with blood? That sounded weird. Sibyl didn't mind blood but she preferred some meat, not just packets of blood. Maybe she'd just bought vampire treats...oops. Were there any vampires here? Sibyl returned to the theater and looked around. Selene had said not to go up front, but Gabby was mad at her for some reason or another...decisions.

All Riyo could really do was grumble and hiss when Poke poked back. Really, she was just grateful the ghoul hadn't thought of worse methods of torture.
"I'm not napping, you a**." The feline said lowly, but apparently wasn't above accepting the help. Her knees were scraped, she looked a little disheveled, and her shirt wasn't nearly as white as it had started out... But she still had her shovel.
The walk was quietly observed, her thoughts and emotions on the matter kept to herself. Such a dull night life these humans had. At least their theatre looked kinda cool.
"Yoink." She snatched one of the bills for herself and began examining it. Sniffing it. Such an odd odor. Probably didn't taste much better. When she reached the register, the employee seemed to give her a once over.
"You look like you've been busy." The male gestured down to her bruised knees with a grin.
"You look like you need to shut the ******** up and serve me, peasant. I want to purchase your strange fish-shaped confectionery." The ghoul slammed her fist on the counter and gave him a death stare until she was shakily handed the bright blue box. In turn, she placed the green paper down and waited for the transaction to finish. When the change was handed, she practically ripped it from his hands. Oooo. They had faces on their coins.
When she turned around, she stared in awe at the box of cute little red fish. She didn't realize how happy finding fish flavored candy in this world would make her.

Shuffle shuffle shuffle. And then Olivia lost the second hand, her own groping mid air for what Andrew pulled away since her eyes were looking elsewhere. Well, she could kind of feel why Andrew would have pulled it away, now that she too felt the perspiration on the palm of her hand (at least the rest of the room hadn't affected her as of yet). An odd sensation, usually any sort of liquid on her persons was from a third party and not her own. She brushed her own hand on the folds of her skirt and then held it back out. And nothing happened.
Olivia frowned, then turned from the posters (at least she was done looking at them, an almost complete circle), well Molan had gotten her pleading look right at least. That brought a smile back, but he was also shoving a large tub at Andrew. Well, now none of them could hold hands at this rate!
(Jericho's complaint of food caught her ears at this time)
"Shall we go get seats?" The wight suggested, with little much else to do really. And their hands were all occupied, but hey they could at least all sit together now.

He didn't complain terribly much about being dragged around by the smaller ladies, his unnaturally brown eyes were flicking arouind, viewing just about everything in his sights. Eldrid was not secretive about how interested he was about human trade, and willingly picked a bill (or two) from the teacher as she offered them, willingly taking a ticket from her at the same time, turning to his two escorts of a sort, giving them a soft little smile.
"I am a man of trade, so I hope you don't mind, I'm going to go check one thing out before we go in the theatre." He offered first, before perking up to look over the small group, turning to them. "If you're going in, keep me a seat, mm?" He asked, before turning and going towards a jewel-crafter, eyebrows raised high in his delight and curiosity.
In fact, he would be there for a good while whilst everyone else was around looking for little things from the human world, his eyes flicking between the rings and neckalces that were offered up but humans, his mouth pursing up a bit as he tried to consider the money he held in his hands versus what was offered and their funds.
It seemed so weird that they would offer something so beautiful for pieces of paper - where was free trade?
