(I feel so awful for forgetting. Gomen.)

Lexi, having her quick reflexes kick in, took a step back while simultaniously holding up a hand before her, stopping him from getting any closer to her at the moment. "Thanks, but no thanks." She said before she sighed, lowering her hand just a touch, it now resting on the books that she was holding in her other hand.

(no worries.. I know it happens)

Dylan dropped his arms as he felt her hand on his chest. He figured she wasn't a touch feelie type, which was no big. "Anything I can do?" He felt the need to help her in some way. He was tempted to ask if she wanted to reschedule the date. He knew if the situation was reversed he probably would, unless he didn't want to be home during something like this, in which case he would really want to go out. He just wasn't sure how to handle this type of thing.

"Not really, no." Lexi then said before she heard the warning bell ring for class. With a sigh, she let her hand wisp a few strands of her blond hair from her eyes and behind one ear. "I'd actually rather be alone, it helps me cope. I don't like to hear other people's opinions or criticisms on what I should do." Then, she saw a few of her cheerleading friends beckon her over with slightly-odd gazes, as if trying to figure out why a girl of such a posh social status was being seen with the grunge-inspired new guy. "I have to go now, I'll see you later." She said with a weak smile before she closed her locker and readjusted her backpack before making her way over to her friends, who immediately began to question her on who Dylan was and why she was with him, all on their way to class.

"Oh yeah... I get that. See you later then." Dylan just kinda stood in the hall a minute. He saw her friends whispering and looking at him oddly. He brushed it off and headed to class. He walked in just as the final bell rang. His teacher gave him a look and he quickly sat down. He felt bad for Lexi but understood wanting to be alone. It was good to just clear your head after something like that. He felt like he really needed to treat her tonight on their date. He just wasn't sure what to do yet.

As soon as she and the rest of her friends rounded a corner so they were all out of Dylan's view, Lexi was immediately cornered against a wall and bombarded with so many questions like, "Who was that?", "Where did that guy come from?", "What happened to your Dad?", "Are you okay?", etc. But one in particular rang loud and clear in her ears. "Ew, Lexi, do you know what hanging out with them can do to your reputation?" Was said by an actually pretty close friend of hers, them knowing each other since childhood. Brittany was her name and she was known as the right-hand b***h of the cheerleading squad, actually co-captain. Lexi looked up at her friends and rolled her eyes, a fake grin worn on her lips before she flipped some of her bangs out of her eyes, staring at them all. "Dad's fine, leave it be. I'm okay, everyone's okay." She said to the other girls before giving them a look to keep on to class, since the bell had just rung and they were still down the hall from the classroom. Her yoga teacher was very lenient to the cheerleaders so if they came a bit late, she wouldn't mind.

Turning to Brittany, she then cocked a hip, a hand placed upon it strategically. "He's just some kid I met yesterday in the attendence office, he doesn't matter Britt, so calm your tits." She said with a light laugh, although the drilling stare her friend gave her didn't waver. "But he's one of them, don't you think Brad would get pissed if he found his girlfriend catching the eye of some... street punk?" Brittany quickly retorted as they both began to slowly make their way to class. "Look, Brad and I broke up. He cheated on me and expected me to forgive him, hell no." She said before continuing, "And so what if I'm seen with him, it's not like I'm hooking up with him." Lexi lied through her teeth, knowing well that they had planned a date for tonight. Brittany just quirked a brow before sighing, seeming to just let the whole thing go. "Alright girl, I trust you. But seriously, don't get seen too often with him or people will begin to raise suspicions, like honestly Lex, it's social suicide!" And with that Brittany went across the hall to her pilates class while Lexi continued to her yoga class, thinking about everything that Brittany had planted in her mind.

(time skip)

By the end of the day Dylan had made some pretty solid friends. All in the skater loner crowd, but it was who he got along with. He was just glad to fit in somewhere. A lot of them had noticed his starring at Lexi during the day and gave him a bit of advice as they put it. "Dude really? Lexi Raynal. She is so far out of your league. She'd spit on guys like us as soon as look at you." "Yeah prima ballerina b***h." "Not to mention if a jock sees you looking at her like that you'll get your a** handed to you." They went on like that for most of lunch. He didn't know exactly how to counter something like this so he just kept his mouth shut. Not to mention had to turn down an invitation to hang after school. He figured he could use the time she was at practice to plan the date.

He was waiting at the theater for her at about 6:50. He couldn't wait around his house any longer. He even stopped at a near by flower shop and picked up a small bundle of daisies. He knew they weren't spendy or anything, but they were nice. He hoped they would cheer her up a little. Flowers weren't normally his thing, but he was making a acceptation due to her shitty news this morning. He sat down on one of the benches outside the theater as he waited, his board under his feet.

The entire day went by like a blur. One class after another, more questions were asked about her home life as well as her love life. It seemed that one of her cheerleaders had begun to spread the word that there was a certain skater boy in her life, but with ever-present elegance, Lexi just turned down the accusations just like her father would in such a situation. It was getting late and Lexi was actually pretty tired after an intense practice. Although when it mattered, her mind was on her squad, she still kept lingering over to Dylan and if going out with him was the best idea at the moment. Like, she was already caught up in a horrid family scandal, did she really need another one that would affect her social life too? She had just gotten to the apex of her high school career and although she wasn't one of those people who would live in her high school years for the rest of her life, she still liked appreciating all of the friends she had and the attention she got- well, only when it was good attention.

After gathering up her books from her locker, she was then approached by Brad, her ex-boyfriend as well as the captian and first-string quaterback on the football team. "Hey there Lex." He began as he pulled her into a forced hug with a grin on his face. "Hi Brad." Lexi said with light distaste in her mouth, although she didn't show it much, hiding it quickly with a smile. "So you'll never guess what I heard today." Brad then said as he let go of her, looking down at her intensely now. Lexi was barely tall enough to reach the center of his chest, so he still towered over her by almost a whole foot. "Oh really now?" She asked, a brow quirked. "What about?" "About you talking to some skater punk when you know damn well that that kind of stuff will ruin your rep." Lexi just rolled her eyes as she began to turn away but Brad grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around quickly to face him once more, holding her by the shoulders now and staring into her eyes. "Lexi, I'm worried. I know you and I had a falling out, but I'm really sorry about what happened between us. But trying to get back at me with the enemy is not a good idea. You know their kind and what they do; breaking into houses, stealin' s**t, selling drugs. I bet this guy has a rap sheet a mile long and you don't even know about it!" "Okay, first of all, Let Me Go!" Lexi agrued as she broke from his grasp, taking a step back. "Who I hang out with is none of your business and besides, you shouldn't be getting all "high horse" on me because it wasn't me who slept with Lauren on my birthday, it was you!" She cried out, now tears in her eyes. Brad just sighed as he took a step closer and gave her a hug, which she accepted, but only because she knew he meant it from their history together. "Thank you." She then whispered before she checked her phone and sighed. "Do you want to come over and watch a movie? Get your mind off of all of this?" Brad then offered, with a light smile. "Sorry, but no." Lexi said, shaking her head. "After all that's happened, I need to stay home and be with Kyle, you understand, right?" She fibbed, knowing well that she still had the date with Dylan. "Alright, but heed my warning Lex, I ever see that guy near you again, I'm going to smash his face it.." And with that, he left, exiting out of the gym and into the parking lot, before leaving. "O-Okay, thanks?" Lexi said, not really knowing how to react before she watched him leave before then running out of the gym and to the theater before seeing Dylan sitting on the steps outside. Panting lightly, she then waved at him with a smile. "So sorry for keeping you." She said as she ran a hand through her perfectly straightened blond hair. "Were you waiting long?"

Dylan was almost thinking that Lexi was ditching him. But then he saw someone running towards him. He smiled a little when he noticed it was her. He stood as she started to talk. "Nope not too long... Oh these are for you." He picked up the flowers for the bench he had been sitting on. "Wasn't sure what kind of flowers you like so I got Daisies." He smiled a little, feeling slightly dumb for getting them now.

Lexi stood there for a moment longer, allowing her heavy panting to revert to a light breathing, smiling at him openly all the while. There was some sweat beading on her forehead but she quickly wiped it away as he then spoke to her and handed her a small bundle of daisies. Lexi was slightly taken aback by this, but it didn't phase her smile in the least. Accepting them quickly, she giggled as she took in their intoxicating scent. "The flowers of innocence. They're lovely, thank you." She said in a gentle tone before she reached over and kissed his cheek in thanks.

"Glad you like them." Dylan couldn't help but smile after she kissed his cheek. He was really glad the flowers were a hit. He hadn't seen her smile like that for really anything, which isn't saying much seeing as he hadn't known her long. He snapped out of his little daze with a mental shake. "How was practice?"

As Lexi continued to look over the flowers in her hand before Dylan's question caused her head to pop up, to meet his gaze. She was surprised that he even cared about her practicing. "Oh, it was a good practice. We had a scare when one of the girl's landed on her ankle weird when she was doing a back hand-spring, but it turned out to be a light sprain, so she'll be okay in a week or so." She replied with a smile as she ran a hand through her light blond hair. "What have you been doing in the meantime? Don't tell me that you have been sitting here since school ended!"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 11, 2011 4:57 pm

"No I was not. I decided to use my time to do some homework and do some stuff around the house. Last thing I need is to have my mom on my back." Dylan hadn't just done that. He was also planing their date but he didn't want to tell Lexi that. He noticed that she was surprised that he had asked about practice. He wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing though.

Lexi smiled at Dylan as he listed off what he had been doing since classes had gotten out. "Well lucky you! After this I still need to start an essay for my written composition class, do my AP calc homework, then start on a new routine for the homecoming game coming up in a few weeks." She listed rather nonchalantly before she took a hand and ran it through her long blond hair with a light giggle. "But anyways, what's the deal for tonight? I mean, what do you have planned?" She asked as she looked back over at him, her other hand still holding the flowers, although it hung loosely at her side now.

((used a name from another rp.. sorry. I fixed it))

"Wow..." Dylan was a little taken aback by her list of to do's. He barely heard her question. He shook his head mentally and focused. "Well I don't have a strict plan or anything. I thought we might go get some dinner, you are hungry right?" He did have a plan, but was willing to tweak it if need be.

At the mention of food, Lexi's mind began to wander off for a moment or two about her favorite foods. Various family get-togethers where her dad would just grill a steak or tri tip to perfection. But quickly she nodded her head slowly, her golden waves bouncing with the movement. "Of dear God, yes. Lunch barely did anything for me." She said with a genuine giggle, her lips continued to curve upwards, flashing her straight, white teeth. Then something clicked. "So uh, your car or mine?" she asked, rather boldly.
