Skylar was in awe at how smart Himeji was. It was like he was an alien...from planet "smart"...
There were cheers around him as the DDR battles continued, but surprisingly, he didn't pay attention to then in the least. He was to focused on watching Himeji. When one problem arose, and some other nerd buzzed in before Himeji, Skylars faced dropped.
Please, Oh please don't let him get it right....
Sure enough, he guy buzzed in to early and completly got the answer wrong. Skylar grinned happily. It seemed as if HImeji would be the winner for sure...and that prize would be his....
Suddenly, the stupid game announcer guy challeged Himeji with an "Double or Nothing" round! What the hell??! The wasn't fair at all!
Skylar was ure HImeji would turn it down when he smirked and agreed to it. Himeji must be really confident then...Skylar thought.
The question was given out: 1729 is the smallest whole number that can be written as the sum of two perfect cubes in TWO ways. What are they?
....At the mention of 1729, Skylar thought he would faint. The number seemed big, so was there suppose to be alot of math involved or something? The highest level of math he got up to so far was Pre-algrebra 1...AND HE WAS A JUNIOR!
He stared in awe as Himeji snorted, writing don a quick answer on the sheet then proceeded to play around with his pencil. He had never noticed...how amazing Himeji was.
The other group smirked at HImeji...as if he had lost already.
Please have the right answer! Please! He begged the gods.
((Ermm is it... ummm.... *see's the number 1729 and falls unconcious next to Skylar* >.>

H i m e j i - K i t o m u r aThe judges looked questioningly at Himeji and actually sat there for a long, long time with the two sheets in front of them, looking very perplexed. Himeji wanted to laugh and how ridiculous this was. Here they were, all very smart people, and they couldn't find the right answer to a math problem. Math was the only subject that was based almost completely on logic. How hard could it be?
The other team was growing more and more confident of their answer as each minute passed, since the judges were giving all the awkward glances to Himeji, and not to them. Himeji didn't pay them any attention and continued sketching on a scrap piece of paper. Well, he was actually writing something down, since he couldn't sketch very well.
The head judge stood up and came between the two groups. "All right... Before I announce anything," he turned to Himeji, "Can I ask why you put what you did?" Himeji didn't look up, but he replied still in his bored tone, though now laced with amusement. "Simple. Ninety-one equals six cubed plus negative five cubed, and it also equals four cubed plus three cubed ((91=6^3+(-5)^3=4^3+3^3)) . 1729 is the smallest whole number that can be written as the sum of two perfect cubes in two ways if you're not including negative perfect cubes. But since you didn't mention that, the question itself is false." Not once did Himeji even look up.
The judge was floored by his answer for a second, and rushed to check the prompt. Sure enough, Himeji had been right on that technical aspect. But the other team had gotten the right answer ((1729=1^3+12^3=9^3+10^3)) , so who got the point?
The judge sighed and sat back down. "It's a draw." And so the judges had to sit around figuring out another question that would be flawless this time around. Himeji didn't mind. He knew that he had been right from the beginning.((Thanks! It makes me really self-conscious now that I know for sure that you're reading it... xD Before, I was thinking that you maybe were—because of that comment—but I wasn't completely sure. Thanks a bunch, though. And I hate to say it Blink, but that answer is just a tiny bit incorrect... xD)) C l a s s - A

Skylar watch as the judges muttered in low tones over Himeji's scrap of paper. What was going on? The judges looked just as confused as he was! wern't hen suppose to be the smarties?? And all the while, Himeji was doodling on a piece of paper....was he really that confident??
Skylar held his breath as the head judge stood up and said, "All right... Before I announce anything," he turned to Himeji, "Can I ask why you put what you did?" What??? did HImeji get the answer sooo wrong, that the judges didn't even understand how he got it?? NO! IT COULDN'T BE OVER!
Himeji didn't even look up from his scratch paper as he started to explain his answer in a rather bored tone. Himeji could have been speaking pig latin for all he knew...He didn't understand what the hell HImeji was saying...it was as if he was a talking robot.
All Skylar knew, was at the end of the explaination, The head judge quickly walked back over to his peers and muttered franticly amongst themselves. Did HImeji win?? The Head judge came back, with a somewhat embarrased face as he said,"It's a draw." What?? YAY! so Himeji wasn't out yet! Skylar still ahd a shot at the prize! He silently sent "good luck vibes" Waving his hands crazily as if to push the vines towards Himeji.
"Alright! Now for the next Battle of Round 2! It's the Starter kid, Skylar Yutari!" Skylar jerked, surprised at hearing his name. Round 2 had already started?? Skylar quickly jumped up, tripping over his feet as he fell to the ground.
"I'm...Here..." He said, his face flat on the floor. He got up, dusting himself off as he stepped onto the machine.
"Alright! Round 2, Battle 4:Skylar Vrs Kimi!!! Give it up everybodyyyyyy!" The girl Kimi held out her hand smiling. " Let's have fun alright?" The girl had such a cute face...Sklyer shook her hand as he grinned, "Yeah!"
"Alright! Start!" The song instantly came on...and it was one of his favorites, "Love Love Shine" on difficult...Yeah it was a cute, girly song...but he really didn't care. Skylar and the girl instantly started out fast, doing it correct moves. It seemed as if the dance was coreographed as they seemed to move the same.
The was getting down to the wire as the crowd was yelling and cheering. Both dancers had gotten all perfects so far. Right at the end however, the girl got a bad.
"Awww so sorry! It was just one difference too! Anywho, the winner of the round and contender of the final round is, SKYLAR YUTARI!"
The crowd cheered as Skylar bowed, huffing hard. "Thanks....alot!"

H i m e j i - K i t o m u r aHimeji smiled. The next round couldn't possibly get any 'harder.' He watched interestedly as he heard Skylar's name being called. When he saw Skylar shake hands with that 'cute' girl, a flame of jealousy tore through him, but he kept on a passive expression. He would never show his jealousy. He should just make Skylar so attached to him that there really was no competition. But he had probably damaged their relationship too much for any real friendship or love to ever take root. It was all his fault. He smiled ruefully and turned back to the judges and the opposing team.
"So now, since it's an anime convention after all, the questions will be all anime based. It's multiple choice, but I have to warn you that it's incredibly difficult." He glanced at Himeji as he said that. Though Himeji definitely looked like an anime fan since he was so well cosplayed, he knew nothing about anime. He was finally getting nervous. Skylar should also know that he knew nil about anime and manga, so his hopes for anything was probably getting crushed. Here it was. The end all.
"Best two out of three..." He then let the sheet of papers float down to each table and said to begin. Five minutes for all three questions. Himeji didn't feel at all confident as he watched the paper disdainfully. But when it actually reached him and he took a look at it, his opinion changed immediately...((Any clue what's on the paper?)) C l a s s - A

As Skylar sat back down in his seat, He heard the announcement from the trivia section as the head judge said, "So now, since it's an anime convention after all, the questions will be all anime based. It's multiple choice, but I have to warn you that it's incredibly difficult."
Skylar's and HImeji's face literally dropped at the same time. They were both probably thinking the same thing: Himeji didn't know ANYTHING about anime and manga! He could see Himeji getting nervous! DAMN IT! They were so close! Now he wouldn't win Nada, Zilch, ZERO! Skylar thought about the possibility of using morse code...Yeah thats it! Himeji would gesture him the question, and he would gesture the anser back! The plan was foolproof!...wait....but....Skylar didn't know...how to do morse code. ARRRRGGGHHHH DAMN IT ALL!
"Best two out of three..." The judge let the sheets of paper flow to each table as he siad that there was a 5 minute time limit for the 3 questions. ONLY 5 MINUTES?? well for Skylar, 5 minutes would probably be too MUCH time...but for Himeji...It would be 5 minutes of Hell.
Skylar could feel himself about to cry as the paper flew towards Himeji, as if it was a ticking time bomb. "Well, there goes the gift card prize" He said morbidly.
Himeji caught the dreadful paper as he turned it around and looked at it....and surprisingly, his face expression changed.
Skylar was too busy closing his eyes from the dreadful defeat he knew wasgoing to come, so He didn't notice Himeji's face change.
((Something about naruto? O.O lol))

H i m e j i - K i t o m u r aHimeji almost laughed as he saw the paper. This wasn't hard at all for him. Sure, it was anime related, but not about content. It was more about the manga and anime themselves, not to mention the big brand name companies. And Himeji knew almost everything about companies. His company worked with many manga and comic companies on new ventures and such, since they needed the financial help, and he had the money. It all worked out well in the end.

To Himeji, questions one and two were a breeze ((1.a and 2.c)) and though the third one offered a little difficulty, he remembered that his brother was the person who had headed the funds for Naruto to come into being, and so he would naturally have the first appearance lying around somewhere. All Himeji had to do was recall on his almost perfect memory and see what the date was on the magazine. Once he got the answer ((3.c)), he circled it with a satisfying swoosh of his pencil then waited.
They called times up and collected the papers, taking a quick time to deliberate once again. It was evident from the other team's face that they had no clue what the answers were, but they hoped that Himeji was also at a loss himself. They remembered his expression as the category had been announced, so they were hoping that his nervousness stuck through also. Himeji gave nothing away through his expression, but a quick glance at Skylar. He didn't smile, nor did he grimace. He just sat there.((Well, there's your answer.)) C l a s s - A

Skylar on looked as he heard pencils writting on table. He was surprised that Himeji was writting soemthing....Skylar didn't think Himeji would guess on answers since his pride wouldn't let him...so what was he writing.
This is just sad...Himeji...just put down your pencil and walked awayyyyy!
The judges called time as the papers were colllected. The judges hudled together again and began muttering amongst themselves. Skylar didn't want to watch this...he didn't want to watch his beautiful prize given away to a bunch of wierd-looking, buck-toothed nerds.
Himeji gave him a quick look.....but there was no emotion in it. Skylar couldn't tell if it was because Himeji was on the verge of tears...or because his brain died from trying to answer impossible anime questions.

H i m e j i - K i t o m u r aThe judges walked down between the two tables and smiled, though edgily. They didn't like that this perfect person was perfect in almost all aspects. It just wasn't fair. But then again, they were judges, so they had to give prize where it was due. And since they had promised the extra prize, they had to give that to Himeji too. Himeji stood up as the other team was doing the same. He was getting ready to leave and was giving them the most impatient Sasuke stare ever. He was the living Sasuke at the moment without even realizing it.
The judges ruefully took out the certificate that was the original prize and an ornate box along with it. The head judge held them up dramatically and announced, "And the winner is... Kitomura-san!" The other contestants stared at Himeji in disbelief as he took the prizes without any look of surprise at winning. He thanked them and walked off, not even looking in the box. He walked over to Skylar and smiled. "How was that?"
It was obvious that he was happy about winning. He sat down beside Skylar and took out the first prize, which was the certificate and contemplated it. "What series would I like...?" He was pretending like he was keeping the certificate for himself, but he really wasn't. He wasn't intending to keep the box either, though curious of its contents. He sat there for a while, 'contemplating.' All the while, he was smirking at Skylar.C l a s s - A

Skylar began to sweat in anticipation as the judges walked over in between the two tables. Why were they smiling as if they had a stick shoved up their butts??
The judges took out the prizes, the certificate and an ornate box with unknown contents. He was surprised to see Himeji standing (Looking like a hot sasuke come to life...but he pushed this out his thoughts)there,when he should just be walking away in defeat.
"And the winner is... "
Good-Bye certificate for a free manga series...
"....Kitomura-san!" Both the contestants AND Skylar stared in disbelief at Himeji, as he took the box, thanks the judges, and walked towards him, a smile of pure expectance on his face.
"How was that?"
Skylar stuttered, "Bu-But! You do-don't know ANYTHING about anime!!!! How'd the hell you win???!"
Who was Skylar kidding...he didn't care how he won...He just wanted the prizes.
Skylar had a "Gimme Gimme!" look in his eye as he reach out to take the prizes....but Himeji pulled away smirking.
"What series would I like...?"
Skylar had a "WTF" face plastered on as he said blnkly, "...What?" He would literally bum-rush Himeji if he didn't give him that certificate. He also wanted to know what was inside the box.

"They went easy on you! They should-" Himeji cut him off as he said, "Go ahead. It's yours." Skylar finish the sentence, obviously changing it as he said, "-should have definantly went easy on you!" Skylar took the prizes and stared at them in aw. He would be able to buy the whole series of "Baka No Test Shuukangyuu" now! he grinned happily as he remembered, he still had the secret box to open.
He slowly openned the box in suspense...and gasped as he revealed the contents. Inside, was a limited edition stuffed bunny...an exact replica of Hunny sempai's from Ouran High School Host Club.
People turned and stared at Skylar awkwardly. He had forgotten where he was...the happiness was too much.
"OMG IT'S BUN-BUN!! I LOVE BUN-BUN! ISN'T HE CUTE?? ISN'T HE??" He heard snickering from behind him as he snapped back into reality.
"AHEM, I mean....it's cool..." He said trying to play it off.
He had managaed to make a complete fool of himself....great.
He was blushing in embarrassment as he noticed Himeji staring at him, smiling.
"Wh-What?"
"You know, your smile is the only prize for me." Himeji said genuinly.
His face blew up into a blanket of deep crimson as he stuttered while turning his head to the side, "Sh-Shut Up!" He would never tell Himeji that...what he had just said then, was worth more to him than the prizes themselves.

But Himeji knew that he liked Skylar partly because he was so weird, so he didn't find Skylar at all awkward. He just smiled at Skylar's happiness. Seems that you like your gifts so far... But tonight's gift would be the best.
"Two consecutive rounds of dancing before there is a winner!" Himeji looked up as he heard the announcement. There were only two rounds left, huh? He offered to hold the items as Skylar danced. "Skylar Yutari against Kana Izumi!" She was a tough looking girl that was very sexy, dressed in all black leather. She smiled brightly as Skylar approached, obviously flirting.
Himeji stared on with a look of daggers, but he tried to hide it. He had to. The girl, on the other hand, was laughing and giggling. Oh that giggling was so annoying to Himeji. Himeji chuckled as the announcement boomed over the speaker.
"Two consecutive rounds of dancing before there is a winner! Skylar Yutari against Kana Izumi!"
Skylar jumped as he said, "What?? My turn agian?" Himeji offered to hold his things as Skylar agreed, jumping up and handed him the stuff.
"Make sure you watch my awesome dancing skills closly!" He grinned as he waved at him and ran to the front.
As he reached the front, there was already a woman standing on her dancing platform. She had on black leather which hugged her body tighly, showing every curve. As most men in the crowd whistled at her and blew her kisses, Skylar was only wondering, "How the hell is she gonna' dance in THAT?"
The woman smiled brightly as she said, "Let's have a good time, Skylar-kun" She winked. Skylar didn't under why the heck she was winking. Did she have a bad eye or something?? She unzipped the top of her leather vest, revealing ALOT of her chest. "It gets pretty hot while dancing...don't you agree?" She said giggling. What the hell? Was this lady on crack?
"Sometimes I get hot...but it's alright...and..Uh...good luck.."
"ALRIGHT LADIES AND GERMS! IT'S TIME FOR THE SEMI FINALS! THE WINNER OF THIS ROUND WITH BATTLE IN THE FINAL AGAINST OUR REIGNING CHAMP, MOKUDAAAAAAA!" Skylar turned around to see a girl, that couldn't have been more older than 10 years old. He thought she was SO cute...
"ALRIGHT! CONTESTANTS READY?! START!"
The crowd boomed as Skylar held the ledge waiting for the song to start. His eyes widened once he heard it.....He LOVED this song. He had played it many times when he went to the arcades also. It was called, "Simply Being Loved" by BT...he even had the DDR C.D. with it and when he listened to it...he did the DDR steps to it by heart.
Skylar stepped as if he were gliding on air. He didn't slow down, but kept the fast pace he had set for himself. He wasn't really even paying attention to the steps. He was listening to the song. It was funny...The song described exactly for Himeji...and yet Himeji would never know...

Skylar did a jump turn, and stared out into the the crowd at Himeji, for the few seconds he had. Himeji...wasn't even looking. Skylar couldn't believe this. Part of him wanted to cry, and the other part wanted to strangle him.
The song finished, with both contestants getting a perfect score.
"WOAH! BOTH CONTESTANTS GOT A PERFECT SCORE! THE WAY WE'LL DETERMINE THE THE WINNER THIS TIME THEN...WILL BE THE NUMBER OF COMBO'S! AND THE CONTESTANT WITH THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF COMBO'S IS......SKYYYYYYLAR YUTARRRI!" the crowd cheered as as the girl named Kana gave him a hug congradulating, her huge boobs pushing into his chest...he felt as if he were being tackle.
"ALRIGHT NOW! IT'S THE LAST ROUND TO DERMINE THE WINNER! SKYLAR YUTARI VRS OUR REIGNING CHAMP....MOMOOOOOKKKAAAAAA!"
The little girl smiled cutely at Skylar as he smiled back. He didn't know how he could smile at that point...especially the crappy way he was feeling at the moment. He looked sadly at Himeji, and quickly turned back around. That idiot...

H i m e j i - K i t o m u r aHimeji wanted that Kana girl to just be well out of his sight before he looked back up. When he was sure that she was gone from the festivities—and probably coming on to some other poor fellow—he looked up. Skylar seemed to be enjoying himself. When Himeji saw that, he quickly caught his emotions and reigned them in. He was now just passively smiling and watching Skylar. The final battle was starting.
Frankly, Himeji was amazed that Skylar had such skill in DDR. Himeji had coordination from all his sports, but he had never tried it. He probably could never play it with such mastery like Skylar though. Skylar was absolutely amazing in that respect.
Himeji stared in wonderment that such a young looking girl was the presiding champion. She couldn't have been much older than ten. She might not have even turned ten yet. She looked like such a child. How was she champion? Himeji watched on with interest, ready to survey the final battle and insanely glad that the challenger wasn't some 'hot' chick again.((You know what's really weird? It said that I "wasn't authorized to view this thread" about a hundred times before it actually worked... I was like, "Are you serious?! I've been posting in it for the past, I don't know, month! How could I not be authorized?!" xD)) C l a s s - A
