Gurrl, this is the thread for random discussion of ANY kind. Though there is a separate subforum for JJR in the Pocky Shop as well, I'm sure.

Anyway, I am very surprised at the amount of merchandise available! The DVDs in Japan had cute extras like rubber duckies, toe socks and cute tins... and they're now making Nendoroids, and trading card games, not to mention all the other stuff like the earbud charms and stickers and teddy bears and aprons and USB DRIVES (I want the Suzuki-san USB drive so bad. SO BAD.)

And even snacks! I had JJR Muesli bars (they were yummy) and they came in like, the cutest little box ever ^^

I think BL is really on the rise right now, both in the west and in Japan. I mean, I keep hearing about TV series that promise to introduce more same-sex couples in their shows and stuff, like Stargate and that new Spartacus show. And then there's all the new BL anime and games coming out this year - a surprisingly huge amount! And despite the economic downturn!

I really think the industry is realizing just how big the fandom really is. And this is a good thing. What do you guys think?

Actually, not really. BL anime is usually not... all that fantastic. I have high hopes for the new AnK anime... and then there's Sex Pistols and Hey Class President coming out at some unknown date.

You know... I haven't even managed to finish watching Azumanga Daioh, or Le Chevalier D'eon, despite having the boxset for one and the entire series for the other. I was going to ask for some BL anime recommendations, because my actual knowledge about that is, basically, zero. Then I remembered all the other stuff that needs dealing with. :O
Srsly, I only have SUBTEXTY SHOUJO knowledge. Still. After all this time, too.
