"Day of the Baphomets" by The Mars Volta

This song is both badass-sounding and a musical masterpiece. It's an alternative Rock song that has such a quick and constant rhythm that forms dynamic verses around it for 12 minutes long. Unlike other songs by Volta, this entire song is simply a symphony, really...and it's not the common case where the first and last 3 minutes are good; this whole thing is good, and there's a simply amazing drum solo that jumps in at around 9:45 that's just...incredible.

"White Shadows" by Coldplay

...If you haven't heard this song, listen to it when you can. If you don't like it...well, be prepared to kill yourself if you talk to me and you say that, because I will kill you myself, only more painfully and in an uncanny manner.

Well...that's a bit creepy, but I really like the song. Don't worry, it's fine if you don't like it, but it's definitely my favorite Coldplay song, and Coldplay is amazing.
