Eric stayed silent. He just shrugged his shoulders. Then a book caught his eye.

"in a sense, she could but only as long as she's training in my family's art of fighting. I never liked the family fighting style. It's a little unpredictable...."
Nami was feeling slightly better. She held her head as the dizzy spell faded. "So, you don't know how to use the fighting style."
"Tch, like hell I don't?" Kurona scoffed. "It's unpredictable but can get you out of the worst binds ever. I found mixing it with other forms is best."

"Heh, mixing fighting styles to suit one's personal style is actually quite handy." Eric said as he picked up the fairy tale book from the floor before grabbing Ene and hugging her gently, he wasn't wearing his gloves anymore, strange...
"I still remember that meal you made, delicious!" he grinned

Sasha looked at Byakko and didn't say a word, but still did speak only to him
"So....if Carter is....in a sense, inside X now, heart and stuff, possibly soul maybe. Im not sure....um...would that make you want to protect her more, since he's inside her and stuff, or would he be protecting her."

I had very little obligations to protecting the Hikari family but I do watch over them as sort of a family Guardian. In a way, I guess, her now containing all of Kata, yes. I'm obligated to watch over her as if she were blood relations to the family. Byakko explained while cleaning his face and muzzle.
"Face it," Kurona added. "She's more blood now than she was before."
Ene made a cat-like, relaxed face as Eric hugged her. "I'm no' a cat..."

Odayaka was about to sip from her cup again, but realized that she had already finished it. She walked over to the sink and began to wash it, her ears perk up to listen to the conversation. "Eh? Carter...is part of X now?" she thought about it for a bit, "So then...X isn't a nobody anymore.That's good...but then, Carter now resides inside her...so he's unable to exist physically." Her ears went down, "I don't know if I should feel happy or not about that..."

"although if I know her, she'll stay as close to what is asked of her to do. She only knows plan 'A', there is no plan 'B' in her mind....I could be wrong though,"

He looked at Ene and hugged her more before putting her on his shoulders.
"maybe but your so huggable" he laughed softly


Sasha gave a slightly annoyed groan because what she asked Byakko got out.

Byakko mused. You really shouldn't assume that I'm simply just going to let your words filter into only me. A Hikari within proximity can read or perceive almost everything that I let them know.

Ene sat on Eric's shoulders and rested her arms on his head, her chin on her arms. "So, is Papa gonna come an' get us soon? I wanna go back t'bed."

Outside of the infirmary, Tsuyoi was thinking of what to say to them. She had to think of a good excuse on why they couldn't go back for today. She nodded and walked into the Infirmary, knocking on the door frame, "Hello? Anybody home?" she said with a smirk.

Kurona perked up, hearing Tsuyoi's voice. Ah, he sent her instead. I'll really put him through the ringer now. She thought to herself before replying. "Yeah, we're here."
Ene kicked out her legs gently, letting them sway back and forth so they stopped within inches of Eric's shoulders and repeated their array of boredom. "Mmm? Mama's here? Are we gonna get t'go back home?"
Nami stood up, keeping her hand on the counter just in case. "That would be really nice, wouldn't it?"

Jaster slowly walked into the infirmary,
"Sasha..." he took off his shirt and his back was bloody in one spot. He sat down in a chair leaning forward very exhausted.

Sasha grabbed some gloves and medical stuff and went over to Jaster
"what happened?"

"I think..." he then saw Ene, Nami, Tsuyoi, and Kurona. He blinked

"hey, when did they get back? I haven't seen 'em in almost two weeks now."

Sasha gently chuckled
"a little bit ago."

"They're headed back home shortly, Jaster." Eric said

Jaster went silent as his head lowered.
"oh..."

"How can you give an opinion when you're barely able to see, on good days at best? And none o' tha' kind of stuff in front of Ene." Nami walked over to Ene and covered her ears.
