He had to steal, since they were almost at the goals! His eyes darted about nervously, then the boy exhaled his worry and tried once more for the Quaffle.

After the time out to get Nina into the game, Dani continued her pursuit, never taking her eye off the prize, as she knew from bitter experience it could seemingly teleport at will. Slowly but surely she was gaining on it, and soon the truly hard part would begin.

Gid watched Pru catch the quaffle, offering her a thumbs up. He was amazed by the older kids' skill, particularly after having watched them. Sure, they had a bad season last year, but this year would be awesome, no matter what! She grinned at him, and next thing he knew, he was reaching out to grab the quaffle she'd thrown his way. He blinked, then tucked it safely under his arm, before turning and hauling arse to the opposite side of the pitch.

As Dani began pursuit, Chessie swore she saw the shimmer again, but only for a mere instant. She kept on looking, growing increasingly frustrated. This thing was even more difficult than they made it out to be. She knew she’d have to up her game if she was ever going to get a solid lock on her target. Maybe later the older girls would be willing to give her some tips, though it really just seemed like a matter of how good your vision was.

Gid couldn't stop grinning as he drew ever closer to the goals. Last time, Dante had caught the quaffle, so this time, hopefully Gid could make it past him. If not, at least he gave it his best shot. Besides, he'd done perfectly at avoiding steals that time, which was pretty difficult! He slowed as he went in front of the goals, quietly biting the tip of his tongue as he threw as hard as possible into the goals.
