Wow! Dir en Grey definitely got me started too! I was looking for free music. I then came upon a rotation site rotating Dir en Grey. I've always been a girl who'll try anything, so I thought "Japanese rock? Well, I like anime so why NOT!?" This was when I was around 12 or 13, I believe. (I'm sixteen, almost seventeen, now.)
I downloaded it. My first song was "Cage." I know. It's still one of my favorites. I went on a Dir en Grey craze and I now have almost every song of theirs, and one DVD. ^__^ Yay! And since fanservice abounds, I got into that. Then I noticed that there was fanservice in anime!
And from there, I figured out that live porn wasn't enough. Hentai was even better. Yaoi hentai was good too. I like yuri also, though. Hell, I like it all!
And that's how I got started. <3

I stumbled upon a fanfiction. Funny thing is... I didn't know it was yaoi until after I read the story. sweatdrop

Two things really got me into Yaoi/Shouen-ai (they are not the same). One I decdied that I like other boys. Two I read a manga that I thought was going to be about Rock n Roll and it was but they where gay. Thank you Gravation

when kingdom hearts came out i went searching for pictures on the web, and then i saw it, riku and sora kissing. ever since that i'v been hooked

Mine actually started with manga. I just didn't know it was yaoi until I read it on Anime Castle. After that, I was slightly traumatized, and put the book away to sell later on. Then I was talking with one of my friends, and she suggested we try a yaoi roleplay. I was a bit uneasy, but I did it anyway. She swears I got her into yaoi, but it was actually her fault. But yeah. Then I bought books XP

Um, I'm not really sure. At first it weirded me out, then I gradually started to have the odd urge to read Gravitation and Loveless and then I saw some HoroxRen fanart on myOtaku and I decided it was cute. I bought Loveless and... yeah, that's it. sweatdrop

hmm...i think it was a MirokuXInuyasha fanfic that started it all...*was a biiiiig Inuyasha fan at the time* lol i think i just stumbled upon a fic and liked it so i started to look for more fanfiction from that pairing and eventually from other pairings. After awhile, i started looking for pics as well! ^^

My dad got me into yaoi *gasps* (I don't think he knew how grafic it was, but he did know it involed boyXboy stuff). He doesn't read it himself (lucky for me heart ) , but he gave me a scanlation and I've been hooked ever since 3nodding

Snooping around Gaia for InuYasha pics and saw several shounen-ai and yaoi pics involving Miroku and InuYasha. I was shocked at first...but then went back to find more. mrgreen

In all honesty, it happened when I was looking at Sonic Fanart. I came upon one titled SONUCKLES and whabam!! I was totally in love with the pairing. This happend about 4 years ago. That led me into wondering what other yaoi stuffs I could find for the series that I love. ninja
Accident and curiosity got me into it I guess. 3nodding

Lemon, yaoi, yuri, shounen ai, shoujo ai... everything started when i saw Fruits Basket and fell in love with it heart i started to look for pictures and more information on the anime and that was when i accidentally saw/read pictures, doujinshi and fanfictions i never expected xd
and it was my search that got me hooked to mediaminer where i read my first yaoi material (fanfic), AkiraxHikaru! Great fanfic and superb author whee then in my search on Fruits Basket, quite a number of pictures and doujinshi on Fruits Basket too xD
anyone got into yaoi coz of Guilty Gear? cool
