Pru gasped as a bludger from a second year, shockingly, slammed into her ribs. She was certain at least two were broken. It definitely felt like it. This was impressive, especially seeing how as far as she knew, Jasmine had never played quidditch before. She gave the girl a slightly shaky thumbs up, trying not to look furious (she wasn't, but it really did hurt a lot), and then realized a quaffle was hurtling towards the goals.

Johnny watched, a bit wide-eyed, as one of those flying canonballs was knocked towards the captain and she still managed to catch the red quaffle and stop a goal. She tossed it to another boy, who shot down the field. He looked like he'd be coming pretty close to Johnny, and he was...probably on the other side? Johnny decided to try stealing, and darted forward to intercept.

He was nearly midfield now, and the scoring zone was just up ahead. Ears pricked for bludgers, he kept an eye peeled for opposing chasers and continued down his path.

Jake wasn't one to sit around waiting, so he took a moment to figure out a guess as to what people were working together, then started drifting towards the action. He wasn't completely sure which team was which, but when Johnny went for a steal, Jake promptly threw his lot in with the other team, as ordered. He had a 50% chance of being right, at least. And if they had gotten it switched, no one was too likely to figure it out. Sometimes even their parents got confused, so they'd just answer to whatever name the captain called them later.

Pulling his broom around, Jake flew after the chaser with the quaffle, then veered towards Johnny, trying to crowd him away from the boy with the quaffle.

Gid had hung back a bit, hoping his shoulder would loosen up a bit. Finally, it was just a dull throb. Conveniently, he noticed Axel lose the ball to one of the... twin kids. Gid flew after him, eyes narrowed. He stretched, grinning. He was going to make a steal, today! He reached out and swatted at the quaffle, hoping to get the ball back.
