Rinjinn comes from the Kinuta clan. This clan had only one known member, who was Dosu Kinuta. That ninja participated in the Chuunin exams where he met his fate in a fight with Gaara in order to determine who would eliminate Sasuke Uchiha. With the already unstable village known as Otogakure (Land of Sound), the death of Orochimaru was the dealing blow as once locked up clans were free from their oppressor.
