"Good morning Lily." He smiled and kissed her cheek. She was such a ray of sunshine to him that even with the bad news he had to smile when he saw her. Though he didn't know how he was going to tell her what happened. He didn't want to have to sadden her. "Well it was going well while I was there. Then Greyback showed up and I was told to leave. Appearently he was trying to stir up some trouble between Remus and Sirius." James took a deep breath and let it out. "Then this morning Remus miscarried."

Lily's smile slowly fell until a worried expression took its place. "Oh... Oh, the poor thing! Is he okay? How is he?"

"Well he's fine physically. And I don't really know how he's doing emotionally. I didn't get to talk to him much this morning. I was just about to go vist him. Do you want to come with me? I'm sure he'll like having you there."

Lily smiled softly. "Sure. I'll go with you. Does Peter know? I saw him in the common room last night at around midnight. I had to chase him off to bed, so I have to imagine he wasn't with you guys."

"Yes he knows. I told him this morning. I made him go apologize to Remus for missing his transformation." James started walking with Lily to the Hospital wing.

Lily nodded. "What if they're asleep? I have to imagine that something like that takes a lot out of a person."

Lily shook her head, smiling. "It's okay. It might be nice for him to wake up with friends next him... Both them this month, I suppose."

"Yeah I think it makes Remus feel better to have friends with him the entire time he's in the hospital wing. Well I mean I hope my presence there is helpful to him." James opened the door to the hospital wing for them and walked down to Remus' bed.
Remus smiled seeing them. "Hey Lily. Hey James. How are you two?"

"We're okay. We were worried about you, though." Lily pulled up a chair next the bed and propped her elbows on a clear spot, smiling at Remus. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine. No need to worry about me. It was a pretty painless transformation."
Remus didn't really want to think to much about the baby in case he'd start crying again.
"I did miscarry though and that's confussing and depressing."

"Thank you." Remus gave her a smile of thanks and to show her he truely was doing fine. He really wanted to put on a brave face for everyone else, He felt like he troubled them enough as it was, especially Sirius. So there was a chance he'd talk to Lily about it when they were alone.

Lily raised a disbelieving eyebrow but nodded. "It's good to hear that. Take your time getting back on your feet," she added softly so only Remus could hear. "I can handle duties until then."
