I think that Gaia admins have finally added the ability to live on through their system of economy by agreeing to allow personal seclusion.
I seriously think that it sort of takes away from how Gaia works if you can just go about making money by not even saying antything to people Damn hermits >.<

Wow, you know something? We can actually compare Gaia to the "roaring twenties" at the moment. Next up, DEPRESSION!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!! Inflation, Overworking, Unemployment, Death, all in the name of MONEY (a.ka. GOLD). Bring it on. But, yeah, it is defeating its own purpose.

But, yeah, it is defeating its own purpose. *lol* I wonder what the admis. would have to do to put gaia into a depression. Hmm.... Yeah, it's really getting insane. I feel bad for the people questing for a lot of the items I got last year.... the prices have gone through the roof since I got most of these items. *shakes my head* It's really becoming all about the games though, and less and less about the foundation of talking and being decent to one another though. The games are a nice distraciton on occasion, but it shouldn't be an all encompassing thing like they are trying to turn towns into.

I use the games as background entertainment while waiting to be able to post again, and while waiting for others to respond. xp

I am very glad my computer doesn't like to run the towns, so I don't go there..... But, I do play the card game a lot. Merely so I can get to and beat the cardbot with only 400 gold as a challenge....then sell the tickets I made at the end of the day. BUT, I am usually in here talking with people as well. I love the forums...it's really nice in here especially. I don't think there is much left to do, but there is always suprises, no?

I can't imagine having to save up as much as you did! Other than guilds, I find the games are the only place you actually get to meet people. Everybody's against each other in the forums.

Cards didn't come out till after I was questing, so I didn't really play it much, but ceilisidhe is really good at it. *nods* I still perfer talking to people overall.

I've had mixed sucess with making good friends in the forums, but I find my best friendships have come from people in the guild.

Funkyblueeyes Talking to people is the most fun. I don't get it when there are people who get all annoyed when you pm them o_O The people I get annoyed at are the people who PM me with something along the lines of : "Hi, I like your avi, can you give me some gold?" -_-* I actually had someone ask if I could give them 50k right after I finished my quest.... I just finished my quest, I was broke. *sigh* All well. That, and my inbox constantly fills up because I have a hard time convincing myself to delete PMs sometimes. Ceilisidhe is almost done with his shower, so I'm going to get going. *waves*
