(( Temporarily playing attorney and judge until a suitable one can be found. sweatdrop I've contacted Harv to see if he'll take Dames case. ))

*The attorney Psyzapp has gotten to get bail set for Dame has been arguing with the police and a judge regarding the charges and the bail amount to be set. The negotiations were long and intense and a judge is ready to set bail for Dame and rule on the stipulations of her release.

2 female police officers go to Dame's cell, unlock it, go inside and handcuff her. They inform her she is to be taken in front of a judge so she can officially hear the charges brought up against her, her bail amount will be set, stipulations regarding her bail, a preliminary hearing date set, etc.

The officers escort her into a small courtroom and a female judge sits on the bench. Dame is taken to a single chair in front of the judge and Psyzapp's attorney walks into the court room and quickly introduces himself to Dame.* I'm only temporary until the firm can find an open attorney to work your case.

*The judge takes a look at Dame and then is handed a file, she opens the file folder and takes a look…not saying a word until she is finished getting up to speed.*

*clears his throat and steps back, straightening his tie. They seem to be gradually reaching the point of being suspicious*

In any case, one thing you have to watch out for as a grunny is increased libido ninja ... of course, I can always help you in that department wink

*just then, the officers come in and start to take dame away*

stressed dame doesn't struggle but looks over her shoulder at Draa and Ryzan. gonk

Once in the small courtroom, dame sits somewhat nervously, wonder just what the hell is in the file. If it's dame's file, the only blemishes aside from the accessory charge is a speeding ticket and a wreck from when she was younger...if that's even in the same file. And if it's the information on the case, well, all that information was destroyed...unless L or her minions made up new s**t. stressed dame bites her lip, nibbling on the inside portion.

*The judge glances every once in a while at Dame as she looks over her file. She then addresses Dame.*

Miss Damecharlie, you have been charged with Accessory to Murder, Assaulting a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Resisting Arrest is a misdemeanor which means 1 year in a county jail and/or a $1000 fine.

Assault of an Officer is a more serious offense since a Peace Officer was involved. Since the Officer was not injured, this is another Misdemeanor but you will get the maximum 1 year in jail and a $2000 fine due to the fact that you assaulted a Police Officer.

Accessory to Murder is a much more serious issue I'm afraid. It will need to be determined by legal council and an investigation by the Police Department your role in this charge. To determine if you were aiding and abetting or if you were a mere accessory. You will be going to trail for this charge and the other misdemeanors described above.

*She looks at Dame over her reading glasses.*

*frowns a bit as dame is taken away and he and Draa are told to wait elsewhere for her to return. They are escorted to the entrance of the station and they sit at a bench which seems to have been put there for people who are waiting.

He rubs his eyes a bit a lays his head on Draa's shoulder, which makes Draa noticeably uncomfortable. He then closes his eyes, his lids flickering a bit as if in a dream state while he concentrates on entering dame's mind. He simply sends the message "I can hear you" to her, but due to the nature of his abilities, it sounds like her own voice in her head rather than his*

*Psyzapp's attorney stands there and listens intently to the judge.

The judge continues.* I'm concerned Miss Damecharlie due to the potential seriousness of the Accessory to Murder charge that you could be a flight risk. stare I hereby set bail in the amount of $250,000 and you are to be released to a family member who will be responsible for you to make your preliminary hearing. You will need to be available to the police and council for questioning and a full investigation. Once your bail has been posted and the arresting officers have had an opportunity to interview you, you are free to leave with said appointed family member.

If you do not show up for your preliminary hearing, another warrant will be issued for your immediate arrest and believe me…*she looks dame in the eye and lean over her desk*…I will not be as congenial at that point. stare

*She slams the gavel and the police women escort Dame back to her cell and lock her back up.*

She almost belts out a, "WHAT?!" but the attorney places a hand on her shoulder, calming her down and settling her back in her seat. She CANNOT believe that son of a b***h pressed charges on her! scream mad She is fuming, and she promises to get him legally first, then illegally. His arrest of her was NOT completely on the level and she will find some way to get back at that a*****e. After a few seconds of her eyes flashing in anger, she settles down and hears a voice in her head.

neutral Um, I'm glad I can hear me...? A look of confusion passes across her face.

Shaking her head, she knows needs to answer the judge, "Yes, your honor." She doesn't quite know what else to say...

*takes a moment to sort through dame's thoughts to see if she replied. Realizing this amongst all the things she is going through must be really confusing right now, he tries to ellaborate a bit in the next message.

"You asked if I could relay without you saying anything. I can. I do not enter people's minds without permission, though... unless the circumstances are urgent."

*Having just finished his last case for the day, Harv heads down the hall to go visit Star.*

*A couple of hours later, Sai's car pulls back into the same place. He gets out, pulls a couple of plastic bags out of the back seat, and starts unpacking a variety of plastic containers*

*flies out, followed closely by Velcore* Food?

Yes, Gwee. I brought you food. *looks at the small dragon's belly* I see Kits is still feeding you very well. It's just leftovers, but I thought you'd be pretty hungry.

Sai, could you contact her? *tries to keep from drooling at the smells coming from the containers Sai is opening. He'd skipped lunch to go over to Kits' house to get Gwee and have her contact Sai for him. She gave him a snack, but not nearly as much as he was used to eating*

Yes, I did. She'll be here later tonight. Of course, you know I won't be able to stay. *sighs* As much as I'd like to see her, it's not allowed. *divides the containters between the two dragons and sets them on the ground for them*

Food! *dives down and starts eating*

I know. Thank you for helping me. Thank you for the food, as well. *steps over to the food and starts eating*

*Having just finished his last case for the day, Harv heads down the hall to go visit Star.*

((Y'all better grab him, technically Brat and Lily don't know yet...))

Looking up, she sees Harv walking down the hall. She gets up and calls out to him.

"HARV! I need to speak with you! Please!"  

[Psyzapp]

*On his way out of the courtroom, Psyzapp's attorney runs into Harv. He knows Harv as a colleague and greets him warmly, shaking his hand.* Say, if you are free, there is this new case you'd be interested in. Bail was just set and charges were read. It's a couple of misdemeanors, but the big one is Accessory to Murder. Are you interested? If so, Damecharlie is being held, bail has been posted and the arresting officers need to interview her.

eek dame is sitting on the bed in her cell, OhMaGa, Draa, if that is you, I will KILL you. Mind reading doesn't seem very roguish, you a**! stressed

He listens to his colleague for a moment and nods, seeing Katana waving him down. He believes he's met her before. I'll have to take a look, get me the info to review and I'll wait. Damecharlie, name seems familiar. See you in 10. He doesn't wait for a response, but heads over towards Katana. Can I help you, miss?

She sees the attorney she'd glared down earlier talking to Harv before she gets to him. She approaches Harv, a smile on her face.

"I believe you may already know why I want to speak with you. I think your colleague," she motions to the retreating attorney, "may have just filled you in on a case regarding damecharlie? Psyzapp and I would very much like for you to represent her on this case."
