Only 4 more weeks of school! At this point I don't know who's looking forward to the break more, the teachers or the students.... probably not the parents though lol

Catira Norr Only 4 more weeks of school! At this point I don't know who's looking forward to the break more, the teachers or the students.... probably not the parents though lol This will be the first of many summers that my husband and I will share without children. My youngest will be in basic training before finishing his Senior year. smile heart

Oh YEAH!!! I'm looking forward to Summer... sleeping late, laying in the pool or hammock... yeah, I think that's worth a little forced quality time with my girls! xd At their age, it's probably a good thing because they at the age where they'd rather be running around with their friends than hang out with Mom. So, I'll enjoy my time with them while I can. Before I know it they'll be off to college, so I won't take this time for granted... no matter how annoying they may get! rofl

My youngest will be in basic training before finishing his Senior year. smile heart Congrats on your son... my daughter finished basic in the Air Force, she finished her medical training, and now she is working in the hospitals on base (she is now in Florida) to do her internship... She loves what she is doing, it took a while to get to the love part, she had the normal hard time with basic and getting settled in a new lifestyle. She even sat in on a vasectomy today and then sent me text messages with the play by play on how it was done. As for the kids in our area, they are out of school for at least 2 weeks with schools being shut down for the flu... when they go back who knows how much of the time off they will have to make up before they can start their summer break.

We got ourselves a lovely Australian Shepherd from a rescue group this weekend, so I guess we'll being going on lots of long walks this summer.

Catira Norr We got ourselves a lovely Australian Shepherd from a rescue group this weekend, so I guess we'll being going on lots of long walks this summer. That's wonderful that you were able to get a dog from a rescue group! I prefer to get companion animals from shelters as well. I'm sure both you and your dog will have fun with those walks.

Today was a good day for a very long walk along the Erie Canal with my favorite mutt.
Kudos to my fellow geezers with adopted canines - those dogs are the best!
