Lucca lifted his shoulders in an "I don't know" expression "Who knoes, I just found him nearly dead lying in some house with Kane all histerical lying near him...and some old lady, haven't heard about that old hag before" He said and then flashed an evilish grin "Yet you die to be the maid of honor...don't you?"

With a sigh, Kasa said, "Then I suppose it cannot be helped. But if you know what he's been through, then you'll understand that it will take great strength to defeat his demons. Are you prepared for the kind of care that he will need?" Kasa was only looking out for Kane. She had seen him through quite a few rough spots, and did not want this to turn out in the same way. "If you dedicate yourself to him, there is no way out. You must stay with him to the end, understand?" Kasa knew how fickle and selfish people could be, so she had to be sure this young man was ready for what he was getting himself into.

Lan considered what Kasa had said. He was looking at her, considering if he really was ready for the commitment. But then he looked down at the sleeping face of Kane and knew what to do. "I....I love him..and I would do anything for him to love me back..." He moved his other hand up to Kane's face and rested it on his cheek.

Kasa grunted at Lan's response. "Well, if that's what you think, then I'm not going to stop you. Just know what you've gotten yourself into." She then held up the fixed skirt. "It's fixed," she said with a sile smile. "Time to wake the boy up." Then she set the skirt on her 'chair' as she went to get something. "I'll leave him to you for a minute. Wake him up. I've got something as a parting gift." And with that, Kasa left the two alone.

Lan blushed a little and then whispered "Kane....Kane....time to wake up" as he said this, he forgot to take his hand away from Kane's hip.

Kane mumbled something as he blinked awake. With a small yawn he said, "What now?" Then, as he turned to look at Lan, he felt something. Looking down, he saw Lan's hand on his hip. He just stared for a moment.

Noticing his hand was still on Kane's hip, Lan jerked it back and flushed. "I....Im sorry....I didnt mean....." He turned away and covered his face with his hands.

"That's okay," Kane said with a smile. When he looked up he saw Lan with his face in his hands. He was instantly concerned. "What's wrong? Are you alright?" Once again he was so used to physical expressions that he had seen nothing wrong with Lan's gesture. He did not understand that most people would have had a problem with it.

Lan took his hands away from his face and looked at Kane. "Its just that......I so badly want be held by you....to be kissed by you...." he stammered out. "But you say you need to learn how to love..." Lan's legs shook a little.

Kane reached over and gave Lan a hug. "I need to learn what love is. What true love is. Until then, I'll still love you the way I know how to." Kane had a basic outline of what 'love' was, but not the specifics he needed to be on the same level of thought that Lan was. However, he now had faith that Lan could teach him everything he needed to know. Lan may have been innocent, but he was very smart and seemed to know how to calm Kane. These were very important traits to Kane, who always needed a guiding hand.

"Wh....what is the way you know?" Lan asked. He knew in his heart he would do everything he could to teach Kane what love was. He didn't even know himself, as Kane was the first one he ever felt these feelings for. Lan rested his head on Kane's shoulder as he hugged him. "Ju..Just know that I love you" he said simply. "I....I still remember the first time you kissed me" he blushed a little in Kane's shoulder.

Kane giggled. "Yes, I remember too. It was earlier today, wasn't it?" He added with another chuckle. "How I love? Well, I make sure you're not sad, I make sure you're happy, and I expect love back." kane gave a bright smile. "That's how I know how to love. I know that it isn't much, but it's what I know." Kane hugged Lan tighter.
"Kane!" Kasa called. When she came upon the two caught in an embrace, she said sarcastically, "Get a box," then tossed a small package in Kane's lap. "It's not a lot, but if that outfit is all you've got to wear (and I suspect it is) then these will come in handy."
