Its good that youre going for action poses, but Id say definately study up on proportions.

i see your point but i thought 40k stuff had skewed proportions anyway

If you mean the models, then yes. Not so much the artwork. And of course it depends on the critter. Humans of course youll want correct proportions, eldar some lank, marines youll want to bulk up. But youll still want a specific skepeltal structure or frame youre working with.

With marines, I keep in mind that theyre around 8 ft tall, much much wider than a human, and that their head doesnt experience nearly as much growth as the rest of them. A good example is the crimson fist captain in the back section of the 4th ed rulebook.

Much better. Do you plan on converting a model to go with it?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 02, 2008 10:50 pm
Yeah, of course. I'm totally gonna go find a guardsman model to work on to make him.

In regards to LadyEren, just realised, in addition to the human proportions to her marines, they dont have any black carapace.

Isn't the black carapace under the skin, though? At least that's how I thought I read it on the GW site.

I thought it was under the skin and made their torso look flat, not too sure though. >_o

Black carapace is implanted under the skin, so only the plugs are visible and not "black" patches of carapace.
